Hey girls...

I'm glad everything went well Betty! I was praying that today would go smoothly for you. :)

Joanna~ That sound like such a fun oppotunity... *jealous* LOL

So... an update on my day. Lizzy started daycare today. (I cried after I left her) *sigh* but.... they said she did pretty good. Cried a bit and looked for me every time someone would walk in their door. But overall I think she'll adjust pretty quickly to it all. breaks my heart though...

anyway... I also started my job today. I think I can consider this a pretty good day... after all, I got a promotion after being there for 3 hours... :lookaroun LOL... my director gave me a list of things he wanted me to "attempt" today. Various things such as memorizing the property layouts of the properties I'll be working with, Learning rent prices, rules, credit stuff... anyway. He came back 3 hours after leaving me with it. And he forgot he'd left my phone on (i didn't know wether to answer it or not... but i wasn't going to just let it ring) So... I just went about setting up viewings, giving info and such. Well when he came back I had not only memorized all the info he gave me (which wasn't terribly difficult... but i do memorize things really well too) But I'd also prebooked 2 apartments and taken their credit info over the phone, along with their deposits (following the rules he'd given me to memorize). And i had 4 showings set in place for this afternoon.

He was pretty much floored... aparently they've not had very good luck with this position or something. Or maybe they've just had really unmotivated people. But I figured while i was missing kiddo i better put my time to good use.

He said he had figured I'd take at least 2-3 days to memorize everything. But since i could quote the info verbatum, and give him all the facts he'd listed about the properties... he said not to worry about waiting 90 days for the promotion and title.... he sent me down to HR and we took care of it.

So... wow. I'm shocked. But happy about it. I'm officially the "Charleston Area Property Manager" for Remax Realty. So... that's fun. Not the most interesting of jobs, but I'll stay busy and it seems like they'll appreciate me.

So anyway... missed my girly, I got to come home early as that was all they'd planned for me today. :)

Congratulations on such a big day!!

I'm sure everything at work was a lot easier than leaving your little one for her first big day. ((HUGS))

I was lucky that I never had to do it, Jess. I can only imagine how very hard it must be. But *crossing all the crossables once again* it sounds like Lizzy did pretty well for her first day. (Maybe even better than Mom did. ;) ) Maybe she'll be really happy there. That will certainly be half the battle won, if that's the case! Meanwhile, you're doing what you have to do, Jess! And doing it all so amazingly well! We are all so proud of you!

I did daycare in my home so I wouldn't have to put mine in daycare - it actually worked out well for us, and DD and DS always had playmates. I don't think I could have handled it any other way...

*jealous* well.. hopefully someday I'll be able to do the same... :(
