Of course, that's as far as little ol me knows. We bolted the second that downpour started so I'm not sure how it went over in those in merchandise or attractions positions that had the Guests running for shelter right towards them kinda thing.

Plan C is basically get under cover and go quick, C for cover. When this happens in MK, sometimes that means that Guests are escorted into the Utilidor for safety. But like I said before, there's a meld sometimes between Plan B and C where Guests are just asked to get as inside as possible, away from windows and doors kinda thing. Like I said before, I wasn't on stage when this all happened, so I'm not sure of everything that happened, but where I was, we were just told to stay put.

I was at the Odyssey Center in Epcot getting my AP changed to the new RFID card when the storm was in full swing. Getting people into the building for shelter was the least of the CM's worries. In fact, when people went to enter, the CM's would turn them away because they weren't getting their AP's renewed.

Ok, so I was there for only half an hour. And I was at the entrance closest to test track. But when I was there during that half hour (4:00-4:30) they weren't letting people in...

There weren't any serious weather problems in Lakeland (at least, I don't think so. I was asleep until about six or so), so this is kind of astounding. Hopefully everybody is okay and debris gets cleared up asap (it probably already is). Thanks for the updates, Dave.

AP purchasing locations aren't "members only". I'm sure they don't want huge crowds in the Odyssey, but it seems a bit unlikely that they wouldn't allow people to seek shelter in near-tornado conditions.

Nothing in Winter Haven either! It was funny, I came home talking about my monsoon experience and my parents were like "...it rained? What?" it sounds like it really only hit the orlando theme park area.

This is why I called the guy a liar. Are the doors at Odyssey locked normally? Did the CMs actively prevent people from coming in?
Without visual proof, I stand by my calling him a liar.

There needs to be some sort of dislike button.
Here we usually get quite a lot of what they call "straight line winds" rather than tornadoes. ( WV Eastern Panhandle).
I am surprised those folks in the pictures were not directed to a safer area.But, when we were in MK during a tornado "warning", we just sat under the veranda of the Dole Whip restaurant. Most people left, but we just took "shelter" until the storm blew over. The CM told us if there was a tornado spotted, they would direct us to a safer area ( quite possibly in the "basement" area).
I hope everyone is ok and that there was minimal damage. Wow! This weather is unbelievable!
God bless everyone in the hardest hit areas.

When people walked in to the Odyssey Center the CM asked said people if they were here to get their AP changed. When said people responded "No" the CM politely asked them to leave. Like I said I was not there for very long and was only at one of the entrances. And no, I have no visual evidence, I was soaking wet when I got there. You were, however, allowed to stand under the covering in front of the entrance to the Odyssey Center. This is what I did after I got my RFID card and was waiting for a group of friends.
