I think you can surprise fans. Apple does it all the time...they constantly have things under wraps, and even fan sights are surprised at times because Apple is so extremely secretive.

Disney just isn't as innovative...so they don't have those sorts of 'surprises' you see things coming easier. More predictable.

P.

I think Disney has a bigger following than Apple. With as many of us as there are snooping around, it is very hard to hide anything from us that isn't minor...

You are jumping to conclusions.

With Disney's size, there are more resources to 'cover things up' and thus can have a greater protection of its assets when compared to Apple because its got larger things to deal with.

They don't to so great a job of protection, because, on a ratio, they don't have the assets to protect. They don't have the big surprises anymore because innovation has started to leave the building.

we'll have to agree to disagree. You know me. I believe the innovation and creativity is still very much there.

OH NO I am planning trip to WDW leaving May 7th, 2005 I would be happy with what is there right now, I certainly hope this does not cause more crowds (at a usually slow time in the parks) especially since I will arrive only two days after this all starts! Also I am not planning to book trip until mid February due to work holiday schedule, hotels better not book up earlier. What does everyone think will this really impacts visitors to WDW especially in May 05?

Well, you're a neuroscience major soon to be an educator...not exactly a 'creative type' lol :p

WHAT?! I'm VERY creative! You should see my projects ;) You don't get a 4.0 for being boring!

Ohhh... you'd be surprised. It dosn't matter if you snoop around the parks, it's like snooping around the Apple Store, it won't do any good.

If you were more creative than the average person...you'd be in a different field.

Maybe you'd have a 4.0 in architecture or be in sales, police work or work as a motivational speaker. NOT a neuroscience major. That's a different (but equal) breed. :)

Lucky??? More like Lugly!! When they mentioned Lucky, I was afraid that's what they were talking about. That Dinosaur better be more impressive in person.
That's almost offending...

I don't think you have much to worry about just because of 5/5. The biggest impact will be DL with the new fireworks and parades.

The WDW Resort will be impacted when the rides come online (Everest, Soarin, Action! Stunt) then with Cinderellabration - which I assume will begin 5/5. Maybe Lucky will also start 5/5. I really don't think those will pull crowds.

I guess I should add that if one or more of those rides do kick off on 5/5 you will meet increased crowds.

Paul - lol; I thought he looked like one of the creatures from the series. Maybe Disney should start selling Sun Stones (or whatever those things were called.)

Hmm, someone almost offended an animatronic? That's a first. :D

"Remember Denver? The last dinosaur? He's my friend and a whole lot more...that's Denver...the" hum hum hum.

I love how the dinosaur is all open mouthed wide eyed and friendly, and not the terror he should have been.

What ever happened to trying to make people feel vulnerable huh? Carrying flowers...why not a basket of bones from his last meal?

I'd be the worst imagineer...all of my stuff would make people crap their pants in fear. But I'd provide diapers of course.

Go ABC!!!! Synergy!!! Yay!!

Cinderellabration caught me by surprise....

I knew of a new show at MK, but no details. Well... I suppose if they're gonna recycle from another park, at least they took the moral high ground and borrowed from Tokyo.

Im not impressed. This is all old news with a promotional event and a new show.

As far as Disney doing things as a surprise.... it happens from time to time. Things every now and then come out of left field, despite this informal spy network that goes on. It can happen.

"Snooping" .... LOL .... funny. The CIA snoops. We're much more organized.

With DL getting a redone SM, does anyone think this could happen in WDW.

Since I have never been to DL is SM or I should say was SM in DL the same as SM in WDW.

While Disneyland's Space Mountain still won't have a loop like the Paris version, the ride will feature a launch start, instead of the familiar long climb to the top of the first hill, and entrance and exit tunnels filled with new lighting effects.

Interesting?
