Looks like a category 4 now. I'm flying in tomorrow for a 1 day Animal Kingdom visit before I head out on a cruise out of Miami.

H is for Hurricane, M is for Major hurricane (pretty sure I remember that correctly).

"H" means Hurricane status and "M" means Major Hurricane. CAT 3 or greater

Not great for the people on the coast with that surge, etc. The only good thing for Orlando itself (if it hits near there) is that it is a bit inland...

Also worth noting is the current guidance is calling for the storm to slow down at landfall. Notice how 24 hours later it's just getting over the Orlando area. Major rain maker.

DCL is running their 8/30 Disney Dream itinerary as scheduled, but noted they may not make it back to Port Canaveral on Monday. Meanwhile, they're not giving updates for the 9/2 cruise or letting people cancel. Silly.

Didn't realize tides are higher this week because of the full moon. Miami had better hope Dorian doesn't turn southward as it approaches the state. Yikes!

A lot could change in a few days...as it typically does.

What was the Hurricane a few years ago that slightly shifted in the last few hours before landfall and really saved a lot of people heartache? Was it Irma?

By the time we realized how bad Michael was, it was too late to find anything to evacuate to. Glad you made it through.

If it looks as though Dorian will move out into the Gulf, we've decided to make plans to leave. Heading up to at least Dothan.

I haven’t decided yet. My parents will not leave unless they thought their lives were in danger (so essentially never). Currently have about 6 stores in my district looking to possibly be impacted so a lot of confusion and panic taking place.
