if we are going for reviews... try tucson milk one gallon...

Both of these are pretty good but again is a perfect example of what is wrong with people reviews. No one is ever right. It sucks. I see it in my business everyday and the way the world is now with instant camera and Twitter etc it is so hard to get a fair review.

I had a blogger rip me because a server was to big. They posted a pic of the woman's butt on Twitter. Then went on to rip my food as the cause.

How can one person experience it in bad condition and one experience it in good condition or better condition?

It amusing to here the differing reports.
In the words of the Dreamfinder and Figment... I m a g i n a t i o n! Snapshot moments that are reported as constant and just a desire to find anything that sounds like they just don't care anymore. I rode it in February and everything, I mean everything was working fine. Even the unload had no backups. That doesn't mean that a half hour later some of the stuff wasn't the same.

That is so true. We rode it in March at least ten times and only once was something to working on our trip. And I looked for anything as all I read was how bad it was. sound was a little off but that was it and I may have imagined that.

If it is so perfect then I wonder why Disney thinks it needs even a four-month refurb.

Well Peter Pan could use 4 months to just dust the thing. I agree things are not right but they are it appears putting band aids on stuff as much as they can to get to the refurb date.
As they should be. Most of the planned work has nothing to do with ride effects.

Maybe it depends on the time of day.

Could be that after the nightly reboot, fog machines work, animatronics function, and effects stay in sync, but as the hours tic past and parts heat up, things begin to go back into fail states one by one.

I never said it was perfect. It does need maintenance even if nothing ever broke. It is long overdue. I just, personally, get tired of constantly hearing things like it's a mess, or the monorails are disgusting or some other thing is almost ready to junk, when most of that opinion comes from that moment in time that I mentioned. The Monorails are smelly. Funny, you know that one of the first things I noticed on the Monorails back in 1983 was that particular odor that they had. You know what, when I get on them like I did this year, that same odor hits my senses and flashes me back to then. What people are describing as "awful" are their scent. Something inherent to the rails. When they find some garbage on the trains, it's Disney doesn't do a good job. The consideration that the group that got off the train as they were getting on might have left whatever they see. No, it's Disney has failed when the chances are it is the Guest that has failed and created the problem that is now blamed on Disney. That's just one example, there are many.

In some cases they are correct. PoTC is pushing 40 years old and it has been running almost constantly for all those years. It needs to have stuff replaced that has worn out with time an usage. It has nothing to do with the neglect unless you consider the uproar that happens on this very board when it gets closed for repair. You'd think someone had just had a kid taken away or something. There was a post earlier about how upset people, the same people that complain about the condition of things, are because of the construction going on. Yet, Disney isn't doing anything. There is a major conflict involved with all of that. It just gets tedious, is all!

There is a concerted third shift effort to keep patching on-stage things up until the refurb. You must have gotten lucky.

The ride is in a dire condition.
