What is this, the Magic Kingdom Hub?

I lol'd.
Yeah, I got into an argument with my co-host on our last show about this. The exact same thing happens at Universal.

I also got lucky? And parked in the far back corner of the Scar lot (row 127) and got a pretty good view of the towers under construction back by the air strip. It was unfortunetly a bit far away to get a good photo but I could swear one of the towers was loaded on a trailer ready for transport.

I don't know how anyone could be in that area around nighttime entertainment time and not be supportive of what they did. The area is much, much better now. My wife and I even had a picnic with sanwiches we brought in :).

Oh maybe it might be that they've taken a green oasis which used to be the divider for the lands and turned it into a blazingly hot concrete wasteland for 12 hours of the day all for the sake of 30 minutes of entertainment at night.

Well what I saw during the day people were relaxing, letting their kids run around and let off steam, sitting and enjoying an ice cream cone in front of the castle, etc. And what I saw at night was very pleasant compared to thousands of angry confused people trying not to get run over by mobs of crowds.

Having nice pretty wooded paths in parks is great - but in this situation it wasn't practical anymore. You weren't the one having to deal with what was probably hundreds of letters of complaints every day, Disney was.

The same situation with Downtown Disney and the large expansion of roads and parking in that area. Not only has the property attendance gone up but population in the Orlando metro area has exploded in the last 15 years.

Plus it's not like they just made it a concrete wasteland: you can clearly tell they tried made the best of a bad situation by adding small trees and planters, fountains, etc. If you want to see an area butchered for a show look what Six Flags Great America did to Hometown Square for Ignight, they just took out all the planters for more viewing.
