Main Street Electrical parade not running in August?

I am en route to the magic and have been checking out parade times on the WDW site.

Currently the MK calendar shows there is NO electrical parade, either SM or MSEP during the first 2 weeks of August. SM returns on the 15th Aug according to the site.

Can anybody confirm if this is correct or an oversight on the website. I arrive August 1st and would be gutted if there were no light parades until August 15th as advertised :(

If only they could attach music to this parade that will make me cry, like Wishes...or Spectro....or Fantasmic....or Remember the Magic Parade...or Sharing a Dream Come True Parade...

I agree as well with the music, Wishes , that (and just thinking about it now I get goosebumps) The music just gets to me no matter how many times Ive seen it ( And when it first came I did'nt think anything could replace "Fantasy in the Sky") I love the first opening notes and how heavy my chest feels and looking all around and seeing all those faces looking up at the sky ,especially at my two girls who are so capivated by the music and fireworks...Yeah I cry, almost every time and when my girls sing along when the child portion comes on....Yeah I'm a big baby! I also love Remember the magic...That song for hubby and I is our "Disney Song"... We went during the 25th anniversary for our honeymoon and that song is now very special to us...We always say for "our 25th "aniversary we'll be renewing our vows there at Disney and playing that song!...That song does indeed get stuck in your head.....but I love it!
So to get back to the topic of MEP..Yes the music when I first heard it...little creepy, but I hope when I get to see it in person...No, I know it'll be great!!
And we have never seen it....So I can't wait!!! Love the Spectro , but love something new , even if it was there before!

Think of MSEP's music as uplifting rather than insiring. ;)

I grew up with MSEP. For me it brings plenty of childhood memories, more so than Spectro.

We lived in CA going up and we went several times a year to Disneyland. Watching MSEP was a real treat because most of the time my parents wanted to leave early for the long drive home.

I think it is all in the memories that we make that fuels our preferences.
