ooooh this could be very good times for MK.... SM needs a refurb, and imagineers out and about is always a good sign...

I don't know, but MY dream is to see it try to live up to Disneyland. :lol:speck76 said:One Man's Dream?

On many nights over the summer, and during holiday time periods, guests are allowed to exit by going through the backstage area (between the Plaza and Noodle Terrace) and they reenter the park near Tony's Town Square.
While MK has done some things to impove the looks of this backstage area (planters, a white fence).....it is still backstage.
It would be nice if a spur was created off of MSUSA and connected near this exit point.....it would allow for better crowd control, while at the same time, eliminate the need to send people back stage.

Looks like WDW might be following the leader...![]()

I wouldn't have thought they'd touch it anytime soon, like 2008- ish, especially since we keep hearing PoTC and HM are going down soon. Was that speculation on the managers part?
There are marked differences between DL and WDW, Grizz. I really wish you would come to grips with that. WDW has to appeal to a wider range of people than DL, and THANK GOD that WDW is not as beholden to its annual passholders as DL is. While DL has to bend, stretch and kneel down to its AP masters (Light Magic, anyone?), WDW has the freedom to create a guest experience for everybody from around the world.General Grizz said:I don't know, but MY dream is to see it try to live up to Disneyland.
Enderikari said:No, there is no timetable to the Space Mountain refurb, you know why? Because its not happening... At least not a DL style refurb. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it seems like some people are getting a little overzealous with speculation. HM is going for about a month long general cleaning and tune up, the PotC is coming up on a fairly lengthy downtime.... Space Mountain will have the same refurb that Mansion is getting, but to be told that it is going down and assume the DL style change? That's lunacy, bordering on psychotic.
But, there were Imagineers on Main Street, so obviously this means big changes to the look of MS:USA! Right?... Right? Anyone behind me on this?
No, word to the wise, there are always Imagineers on Main Street. And they are always looking at improving stuff. But, as of right now, Main Street works. Imagineers on Main Street does not mean they are going to change back the cinema (they're not), it doesn't mean they are moving "One Man's Dream" over into the old Walt Disney Story theater (they're not). It's true the MS: Train Station is getting a refurb, because they foresee having the stroller rental area there a better site for efficiency, which improves the guest experience. Removing the shops from Main Street is a huge guest satisfier, you know why? Because people want to be able to buy stuff both as they enter and leave. Try telling a guest that in order to buy and item at the end of the night, they have to truck to Fantasyland.

Ditto. We had a tradition of getting our pictures taken in the sled, by the flowers... Now the street is gone. We really miss that too.ThreeCircles said:To be fair, the expansion only took over 1/2 of Center Street. (Unless the side street on the right side of Main Street is actually called something else.)
But, in all honesty, I do hope we don't loose that side street too. Perhaps they could build the new attraction or area at the end of the current street or expand beyond the current Main Street buildings.
