Main Street Bakery to Serve Starbucks Coffee

Why are you being so ignorant and rude towards people? Maybe you have a tradition that if taken away, you'd be upset by. To say this is just about how they "frost a cinnamon roll", shows that you either have no idea what has happened, have not read this thread, or are just trying to get cheap laughs at other people's expense.

Ignorant and rude towards a group of people who's primary complaint is that Walt Disney World no longer serving one particular cinnamon roll? I'm 100% fine with that, I'll take that as a badge of honor.

I told you how to have your problem heard by the right people. If youre not willing to even try, then you dont deserve such tasty treats to ever be served again.

I think that they could have thought of a more inventive layout for the Starbucks. To me the decor makes it look different... But the kitchen layout plan, looks like every other Starbucks, just with different cosmetics, in my mind. Idk why that stood out to me more than anything else. But I think the decor helps it blend in with the rest of the park. I'm new to Disney though, so I don't have a previous place I'm comparing it to. =/

Who are you to judge someone on the merits of their complaints?

So what if they are. Who cares? Is there a new rule that no complaints are allowed on the board?

Again, it's a message board. It's about Disney World. The good and the bad. A place where people can come talk about what they love about the place and complain about what they don't like about the place. Yes, complain. If that's what someone wants to do, let them. If you don't like it, then ignore them. I feel like I'm in high school here with some bullies.

No, a Bully wouldnt have given you the address for WDW's guest communications and politely suggested you write them in an attempt to actually get your voice heard.

What you are getting is a response from someone who has finds this whole affair silly....

So it's OK to be a bully some of the time? Gotcha.

You are missing the point. Though I thank you for providing me Disney's Guest Relations contact information, rest assured, I have all of that information. Again, not the point. You may find it silly. That doesn't mean you should go out of your way to make others feel bad about it. Hey, that's just me. I don't believe in being rude for the sake of being rude. If this were about Disney getting rid of their nasty hamburgers, I wouldn't give someone a hard time about it or call them "silly" or "ridiculous" for being upset about it. Newsflash - The majority of people out there think we're ALL silly for posting on a WDW message board in the 1st place.

I kind of wish I could have tried one of these cinnamon rolls. They sound good. nom nom

Visit Gastons. I think I had half of a friend's once. It was alright--not Cinnabon good, tho, too dry for that. The French Toast Loaf--now that was delicious. In fact, I bet if you searched, say, the DIS archive (trying to think of the most fanboi-ish forum I can), you'd probably find more posts referencing "french toast loaf" than "cinnamon bun."

There is a reason for this. The layout is a tried and tested model of efficiency. Altering that design could potential lower the number of guests per hour that could be served.

See! I did everything Belle in FantasyLand except for Gaston's Tavern! So upset I missed it. We had a huge group. Kind of hard to get everything done that I wanted to. Compromises...ahh
French Toast Loaf does sound good. And big.

I can't wait to go to the Starbucks when I go back to Disney World. I'm so upset it opened like not too long after i left. I'm like really? I just missed it. =( I really could have used some Starbucks. Come to think of it, I didn't have any Starbucks the entire time I was in Florida. Kinda weird for me.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Why is asking to see the old menu ridiculous? You made this claim: "many things they took away from the bakery that has been there since the park opening!!" I'm curious just how much of the 2012 menu was actually sold in 1971. You wouldn't just make that up, would you?

When you make claims like that or state that someone lied to us all, people want to see proof. It's not ridiculous, it's life.
Also to correct you go back and read what I said (i went back and read to make sure) was that the bakery was there since park opening not the menu items I was referring to. I was referring that they took away the bakery as it was since then!!! I never explained that to you personally until now b/c I had no need to but I guess I have to clarify that to you anyway. I know if you read it as I jumbled it in one sentence it could be taken that I was saying the menu items have been the same but that was not at all what I meant so no need for a menu! I also would appreciate not insinuating I was lying as I'm not a liar. Thank you. :). Sorry to the administrator I just wanted to clarify because they were not leaving the "menu" bit alone. :)

From Widen Your World's Main Street Page:

" A Main Street Bakery hostess decorates a cake for curious guests whose attention was arrested by the manufactured smell of baked goods. Inside counter service provided the opportunity to purchase pastries and consume them in a small dining area. Forget about seeing someone icing a cake on Main Street now. They needed that space for more cash registers, so just shut up and get your lame nostalgic in line for dry sugar cookies. Ick."

So no, it was not always the same before Starbucks.

Sara Lee and Nestle were also sponsors at some point.

But that's not true.

I know it's been remodeled at least once since the mid-90s to improve traffic flow and menu items have changed over the years.

It's not the same bakery that was there in 1971.
i know it's been remodeled I wasn't meaning that! I just meant the trAdition for many of the bakery and the bAkery itself has been open since park opening! Now the bakery is not a bakery its a Starbucks! lol Geez people! :)

It's not a Starbucks.

It's the Main Street Bakery featuring Starbucks. Just like before it was the Main Street Bakery featuring Sara Lee products and the Main Street Bakery featuring Nestle products.

Let's see - Crystal Palace could become McDonald's and Plaza Restaurant could become Burger King and then Ronald and the King can have a sword fight on the Castle stage! While the branding for the Bakery has been done somewhat tastefully (no pun intended), it is sad that WDW has resorted to such open sponsorships within the parks. I'd rather these be reserved for resort areas and Downtown Disney. By the way, which costs are being kept down by these partnerships? Certainly not the resort room rates or ticket fees!
