Mailed My Snacks Today!!!

Okay so I asked one of the mail room managers I deliver too if she would send a package to my resort for me since UPS does not give its employees discounts on shipping. She said yes, and today I brought it in, the weighed it, gave me my sticker and I took it back to the hub! Get this...Its scheduled to be delivered the day I arrive!!! Another funny note...the box weighed 45 pounds!!! Haha!!

Here is what I shipped...

1 24 pack case of water.
1 variety bag of sun chips, 20 snack bags 5 of each flavor
1 giant bag peanut butter M&M's
1 giant bag Dove peanut butter chocolates
4 boxes of Hostess mini blueberry muffins
3 3 packs of trident orange and strawberry gum
1 box of Crystal Light peach tea mixers (for the water)
1 box grape propel mixers (for the water)
1 bag Taco flavored Doritos
1 box Hostess doughnuts
2 boxes of strawberry fruit snacks


So after typing that I just realized what freaking pigs we are...:shrug:

One thing we wont be is.....hungry!!!:sohappy:

I dont even drink that stuff because its "better" for you...Its SOOOOOO good. I love the peach, and the reg tea...Colleen really dont like it that much. She prefers the grape propel. She dont even know I sent this stuff to the resort...Shes gonna be so happy...probably more so this than the ring!

Food is the way to that girls heart man...When she gets back shes gonna join this board. She wants to join now but I said she has to wait till we come home so nothing is spoiled. You can ask her what got her more excited! hahah!

This on top of the snacks you receive for the free dining. Aren't you going for 10 days X 4 = 40 snacks :ROFLOL:

Shipped a 24lb box 3 weeks ago to the Coronado by UPS. Cost $11 and change. Coronado charged me $5, a "handling" fee. They said all resort are now charging. They go by weight. They said a private company handles holding packages now.

That is correct the resorts do charge for packages shipped to the resorts. The fees are determined by weight and how long they are stored.

I've got to say, genius idea shipping a package. Usually when my buddies and I go we raid the nearby Hess station (we usually stay at the Boardwalk or Swan & Dolphin), and get a case of water, some chips, some other snacks, and the number for Dominoes.... Your way seems like a much better solution.

It has worked out great the last two years. We generally ship down breakfast items, snacks, Caprisun and what ever we don't want to put in our luggage. The kid's love those little bags of mini muffins. We started doing it so we didn't have to buy breakfast and to save our counter or table service dining plan meals for lunch and dinner.
