Trip Report Magicians in everything I see

I think I read too many trip reports.

During our time at Disney everything I saw and felt reminded me of a lot of you. Some I know by name, some I remember by something I read in a report and thought of you even if I couldn't remember your name. It actually opened my eyes to things I didn't notice before.

This trip happened so fast, a quick recap for those that didn't read my pre trip report...

C just graduated college and planned a trip with a friend, friend had to back out so me, mom, went instead. C and friend all ready had their days planned and reservations made so I just did what I was told to do. It was actually nice not being the one doing all the planning

Meet C. She is a Disney lover, compassionate, singer extraordinaire, funny human being, animal lover. You can also read every emotion on her face, disgust, loathing, excitement, sadness.

Here she is in 2010

One day, I WILL get the nachos at Jock Lindsay’s…. They look sooo good! But maybe that’s because I’m sick and haven’t eaten anything in 3 days…
They really were good. But I know what you mean. I was sick on one of our Disney trips and didn't eat on the second and third day we were there, By the time I was ready to eat our reservation was for T-Rex in DS. I had a Guacasaurus burger. I still swear it was the best thing I've ever had at Disney. :inlove:

Well, I was really hoping to finish my report before I headed out on our next adventure. I can't believe work wants me to actually work.

I'll be out for a week but I'll try to get back to the report next Friday. I prefer to write them quickly so I don't forget some of the little details. We have two days left, DS and MK.

I will tell you now because I know I'll forget. I wanted to make sure everything was ok with my Genie account because I knew the next two days were going to be important with ILL's and Genie+. I went to the front desk and told them my dilemma. On our Animal Kingdom break I had deleted my credit card from the Genie account and re added it just like it was previously in the system. I mobile ordered food from Satuli and everything went well so I was told because there wasn't' any problems mobile ordering there shouldn't be any issues come 7:00am the next day......

Joe and I have returned home from a great trip to Boston. I'll keep this to one post since you're not here to hear about Boston. This trip was suppose to include C and Z. C got a summer teaching job and decided she couldn't miss 4 days so we invited G, Z's girlfriend. A few days before we were suppose to leave Z was offered a deal he couldn't refuse. The world class Drum Corp Phantom Regiment has been bugging him to join and due to cost he was unable to join. They were able to find a sponsor for him and offered him another spot in the Corp and decided a summer with Phantom Regiment was better than a trip with Mom and Dad to Boston.

We flew out of Flint, Michigan which is a very small airport. We were the only people in the TSA security check. The can of mousse that made it through Detroit Metro and Orlando MCO during my Disney trip with C got my bag pulled aside and looked at. I think it was because they were bored but honestly I shouldn't have packed it. I knew it was to big but curly hair girls will understand. When you find something that works for your hair you'll do anything to make sure it comes with you. I just figured I'd try since it worked a few weeks before.

I would now recommend anyone to go to Boston.

We cancelled our car rent at the advise of lostpro9het and Tony the Tigger. We used Uber to get to our hotel in Revere. We had plenty of time left in the day so we decided to check out the T and see if there was a possibility we'd get murdered sometime during the week. We chanced it and got a Charlie Ticket and used the subway all 4 days. Sunday was a little sketchy with some very odd characters but Monday through Thursday was fine.

We walked the Freedom Trail - highly recommend, thanks Prophet.
Toured Fenway - the RedSox are in California this week - boo hiss- they were setting up for a Paul McCartney concert!
Took a schooner ride around Boston Harbor
Walk the beaches in Revere
Had a beer at Sam Adams - we learned that the picture of Sam Adams is actually Paul Revere!!
Ate at the best pizzeria in Boston - Regina's Pizzeria - @wdisney9000 you need to go there!
Ate at the oldest tavern in America - Bell in Hand Tavern
Walked down Common Wealth Ave
Spent time in Boston Common
Walked all over down town Boston
Survived the T

I will have a very busy day at work tomorrow then tomorrow night I get to drive to Saint Louis, MO. C has been offered a teaching job and before she gives them an answer she wants to check out the area. If anyone has input on northern St. Louis this nervous midwestern mom would love to hear it. I'll try to get back to the report early next week.

Sorry to hear about losing good hair product. I even had losing good curly hair product on to a rainy day let alone losing a whole bottle.

Yay for flying out of Flint. I love flying out of there. I wish there were more directs out of Flint.

Yay!! I love it when others speak the band geek language. We have seen Phantom Regiment many times at competitions but this is our first year that Z has been a part of this group. One of the directors of Phantom also helps with a WGI group, Cap City, that Z was a part of during the winter and that is how he got a name drop. We are very excited to see them perform.

C is going to be teaching Theater Education to high school students. It's a bit harder to find a job as a Theater teacher then an English or Math Teacher since smaller schools don't have Art's programs so that narrows her search even more. She has an interview in Indianapolis tomorrow. Fingers crossed, it's a lot closer than St. Louis.

I'm guessing we may be flying out of Flint a bit more now. :)

I hope Z has a great time with phantom! I had an opportunity many many years ago to march with Madison Scouts and turned it down. I always regretted not doing it!
WHAT!! No, I get it. It's a crazy commitment, he'll be gone all summer so there goes his chance of earning extra money for college and it is so expensive now to join. I spoke with Z and he said it's so hot right now practicing that they are all just trying not to faint or throw up.

Good Luck to C!
Thank you!!

It's Thursday May 19th. Hollywood Studios Day! (Has it really been 4 weeks since our trip)

C had planned on getting ILL for Rise and Genie+ for the day. We get up early to buy our Genie+ before 7am so that we can start making our first choice right at 7:00am. C is getting our ILL and I am in charge of securing either Slinky or Tower on Genie. But wait, what is this. It won't let me purchase Genie+. C tries and it won't let her either. I try the chat option and get no where.

Magical Enhancement? Guess who has to go to the front desk and figure it out. I'm talking with the very nice CM and he can't figure out why I can't purchase Genie+ at 6:15am, I'm so annoyed on the inside but being nice and polite on the outside. He was able to add Genie to our accounts and I paid him directly. I head back to the room and we get ready for the day. At 7:00 sharp C gets us on Rise and I manage to get our first LL for Slinky around midday. It was a very stressful 30 seconds. I hate this new system. Getting up so early to buy Genie+ then scrambling trying to get the ride you want for your first LL.

I'm going to be honest, I wasn't in the best of moods and the Genie system has gotten to me. I wasn't expecting this day to go very well. We debated and gambled about where to go first. Mickey Runaway or Tower. We heard about Tower only running one elevator but though we should go to Mickeys first.

The wait was actually just 20 minutes.
