Interesting breakdown here. I'm sure Disney will push hard for guests to wear bracelets. But if 40% of people do not want to wear them, does that throw a wrench into their plans?

Heck yes! And I will try to put a Mickey cut out on it so that I can have a unique tan line. I think one of the Mickey head confettis would do the trick

I like this idea. Maybe we should refuse to wear them. They cannot lose 40% of there customers. I do not really like the idea of my teenagers walking around with a wristband that is tied to my Visa which is tied to my checking account. Scary!

I just dont see why they wouldnt have a nurses station at resorts and they could implant a chip right under your skin...no tan lines....no sweaty wrist. Have a kiosk outside the gates for day guest.

I like the idea for on kids, so that they could be used if the child is lost. I would try it but would want other options if needed. Allergies

I'm thinking NO. Sweaty on my wrist, rash breaking out under it. I'm sensitive to latex. It getting in the way when using it and things hitting up against it. o_O
I checked into this and it appears to not be latex. I can't remember the exact material, but I thought the same thing originally.

"The radio of the device, Model MB-R1G1, is a wrist worn arm band that transmits a 2.4 GHz signal to an indoor wireless infrastructure. The PCB assembly is potted in plastic and completely overmolded with thermal plastic polyurethane. The band has no on off switch and is powered with a non-replaceable coin cell. The PCB assembly also includes a passive UHF RFID tag radio and a passive HF RFID tag radio."

Just for the record -- based on testing feedback, the wristband will more than likely be AN OPTION, not a requirement....I know when we tested the bands at the park a few weeks ago, the feedback was equally negative as it was positive -- nobody in my group said they would want a band on a future trip. Others seemed to really like them for their convenience. I think we can almost virtually guaranty that the wristband will be offered as an option, but otherwise will just be an alternative to the regular RFID-enabled card... I personally HATED mine, and kept it in my pants pocket the entire time.

I am funny about wristbands/bracelets:( ... I had issues years ago at the all inclusives in Mexico because of the wristband thing...just could not stand something on my wrist in the heat, so no I would not wear it, might carry it in my purse but doubtful I would wear it...

I would think there would be a way to only activate certain wristbands to have charging privileges much like the current Key to the Kingdom cards. Of course, that still might not be enough to get people to wear them.

That's good news.

The truth is, this has to be an option. Otherwise they would be looking at some seriously unhappy "guests". My father would never wear this thing, if it was mandatory, he just would not go to the parks. And I am sure he is not the only one. My wife and I won't wear them, and if they are mandatory, we will just go to Universal.

I am also amazed that so many people find it so difficult to carry a wallet and pull out a card.

I don't think I would turn my band in at the end of the trip. Would be a "cheap" souvenir.

Oh no, you actually DO keep them. It's just that when you plan your next vacation, you can have the new information uploaded to your band and reuse it on your next trip.

Sounds like another cost cutting measure to me.

We can reuse our band but not our cup.
