So judging from the previous replies, I guess we're all in agreement that Pandora should be in the east lakeside area and the official Fox/20th Century Studios representative in the Studios?
I can also picture a Planet of the Apes land/ ride if the new movies are popular. Maybe an Ice Age land or ride? That's been rumored to replace Dinoland at Animal Kingdom. So I could see it cloned over to here as well.

But why? When there is so much from Pixar and the Disney Movies catalog to choose from. Carsland? Inside Out? Wall-E, The Incredibles, Coco, Zootopia...

Just my two cents: knowing the Bobs' (especially Bob C.) penchant for corporate synergy across TWDC, I'm certain that they'll want to cash in on their 20th Century Fox investment by incorporating its properties in the Disney theme parks. Pandora is already an established land in a Disney theme park based on a 20th Century Fox property, so what better way to show off this new investment than building a plussed version of it in the Studios' Phase 2 expansion?

I'm not saying that Pandora should usurp all expansion pads on the east side of the lake. It could just be confined to what Arendelle and Star Wars Land are starting off with in Phase 1 and expand later on. Looking at this aerial photo superimposed with the expansion plans (from Alain L.'s blog post; marked in yellow), it could be assumed that there's more than enough expansion pads that could fit in other lands aside from Pandora.

Pixar already has a very strong presence in the Studios that could easily be plussed. Toy Story Playland could expand and take over Cars: Route 66 Road Trip post-Phase 1 and place Midway Mania there. Cars Land could be placed between SWL and Arendelle (both Cars Land and SWL are rockwork-heavy anyway) and complete the east half of the lake. Zootopia/Municiberg, Santa Cecilia, and Pandora could take over the other half.

While I admire your enthousiasm, I wonder what precendent there is for you to think that they will deliver a plussed version of anything to DLP? Wasn't one of the two attractions cut from DLP version of Galaxy's Edge? Same with Arendelle?

My admittedly outdated precedent is Disneyland Park next door. Look at PM, BTM, and SM 1.0. We could have just had exact duplicates like what they did in Tokyo, but everything was rethought and reconceptualized for that park. Knowing that Imagineers have the "we have a second chance to get this park right otherwise we will never be forgiven by our guests" mindset when it comes to reimagining the 2000s parks, I'm pretty sure that they're going to do the same thing the original DLP Imagineers did back in the 80s for the new lands.

It wouldn’t surprise me at this point if we never see Star Wars nevermind any other expansion to the Studios

I'm certain that there's a reason why we haven't heard of Star Wars Land recently. My hunch is that for Paris, they're completely reconceptualizing everything given the rather cool reaction SW:GE got in the US parks and the overall operations nightmare that is Rise of the Resistance (the Studios' alleged Phase 1 ride).

I agree with your idea it's really good. I absolutely see Pandora and Zootopia being added for Phase 2.

You're not wrong, but not that long ago the dated Philharmagic was added to Disneyland Park, next door. But hey I'm with you all the way, I'd love for them to go in a different direction with SW for DLP. I always said that they should have had a unique SW land for each park.

What, ever?

Don't be silly, whilst SW may go down the pan we will still see an expansion to the studios.

I don’t think I am being silly. I just wouldn’t be shocked to see Marvel and Frozen built and any other expansion put on hold. I don’t think that’s an unrealistic outcome given the current circumstances.

Let's just hope that the WDW/HKDL PhilharMagic update rumor follows through. There must be a reason why it was suddenly implemented in Hollywood Land in DCA (kinda makes sense; "east coast premiere" and all that) and Discoveryland (what even??) in DLP all of a sudden. Maybe they're trying to justify the reason for an updated film by showing attraction attendance statistics across the 5 parks?

I really hope so. I actually imagine Paris' SWL being based more on the original trilogy than the sequels. Not only it would distinguish Paris' SWL with SW:GE in the US parks, I think it would also draw in more tourists and fans who are more into the original trilogy to the Studios. The only two problems that I could see so far with this direction is the timeline (something SW:GE is adamant in maintaining) and the casting (uncanny valley General Tarkin/Princess Leia in Rogue One anyone?).

I’d love to see an original trilogy star wars land. I’m not sure disney would do it, especially under Iger, but it would be super popular. I’ve been to either of the stateside ones but it looks to me that they are more focused on adults rather than children so would definitely appeal more if based on the original trilogy. Imagine rise of the resistance with the original characters as animatronics- escaping from the death star with Like and Han and chewbacca, encountering darth vader and boba Fett it would be amazing

Apologies, I read it as no expansion including the lake/frozen.

I believe Star Wars may not have a large demographic in Europe like the states.

Hopefully they continue to add great attractions, and maintain their pace with refurbishments for their 25th anniversary (even though its 3 years away). The next year would be great to get a new attraction started to open with the 25th anniversary.
The problem, right now, with Star Wars is it’s new direction not being attractive to both domestic and foreign guests.
