The opossums aren't 'broken' as they were intentionally made static figures in the last big refurb, I wouldn't expect this would change during a future refurb.

Thank you for the info. That's a bit of a bummer.
I will not get my hopes up then. I think the turning effect is still active in other parks like TDL.In that case I will not even dare to dream for the coyote to make a return.

Unfortunately I think that is unlikely. I know this is a boring reason but I just don't think the cost vs benefit of that figure being in place would make it feasible to return. It is so inaccessible in that location, getting up there to clean or maintain it feels like too much of a luxury.In that case I will not even dare to dream for the coyote to make a return.

Hopefully, but I think a Space Mountain retheme will be dependent on if Disney adds a new Star Wars attraction to that area of the park. Whilst we'll still have Star Tours and the meet and greet, I think Disney wouldn't want to reduce the only Star Wars presence at DLP

Nothing about any Disney park is feasible.
Disney guest " I want you to keep impractical and costly to maintain theming"
Disney "park tickets will increase"

You’re really missing my point - all theming is impractical. The rockwork itself, all water features, the coaster itself….. none of it is practical. And none of it is cheap.
No. I think you are missing the point. Some theming is inherently more impractical than others.
But we won't agree as I'm sure I'm going to be wrong.

I will! I’m at DLP and will be looking for the coyote tomorrow and wishing the opossums were swinging (they don’t swing at WDW or DL so I’m used to it).

They weren’t swinging in November - have they been working recently?
Not that recently. But they were swinging permanently a few years back when I covered the attraction. And I mean swinging constantly; not timed to trains. But Orlando’s BTM seems to be the unloved stepchild of show quality.

I wasn’t saying you were wrong… just pointing out that theming on its own is impractical by definition.
At Disneyland- a coyote on a rock isn’t that high on the list of difficult.
