Yes. It’ll be odd without it.I liked the globe.
Frankly I thought it was tacky and felt seedy with all the security fencing around the station concourse. If they could sort that out somehow though I would have been happy. Not that I object to the new restaurant on the lake, which hadn’t opened when we were there. But I agree that the money could have been spent elsewhere in the parks.Yes. It’ll be odd without it.
TBH I didn’t mind the village with a little bit of TLC. I thought most of the the money could have gone elsewhere. But that’s just me.
Security will all be in the same place. Just swap the tents for structures (thankfully) though if you thought it was bad recently I’ll dig out my pics from 2005Frankly I thought it was tacky and felt seedy with all the security fencing around the station concourse. I don’t mean the security checks from the concourse. I meant the fencing that runs from there in front of the World of Disney to the Cinema and towards the sports bar. With food carts and security guards, it looks like the temporary set up for some major arena event. Plant some trees, do something to hide the fencing. Heck, build a damn wall to divide the concourse from Disney Village. And use some planters to make it look pretty. It isn’t an attractive entrance to the whole Resort.Security will all be in the same place. I believe the new fence will be more landscaped. Though not like this:I don’t mean the security checks from the concourse. The 1988 theme was indeed New Orleans (the final theme proposal before the DLH took the money) and as much as I’d hate it, it wouldn’t surprise me for something that doesn’t thematically fit to be built. I hope Paris still has some sense. Save the POP and All Stars designs for east of Sequoia.Do you think they would add another US region as a theme or go full-IP for this potential new hotel?
Personally I would not mind having it Boardwalk-themed - which could be a great transition between NPBC and Disney Village. Another option could be New Orleans with a Tiana tie-in.
A Polynesian hotel with a Tiki bar would be amazing. Though I would rather have this on the other side of the road behind SL to have more space and - ideally - connect it to an indoor water-park at some point.
Worst case for me would be a Toy Story Hotel.

I keep on forgetting about the Woody & Jessie integration at the Cheyenne. Though with Toy Story Hotel I had the full-IP version at Shanghai or the one in Tokyo in mind. To be fair, those ones seem to get good reviews and are quite popular. I just don't want to have one like this in such a prominent location next to the lake. There’s already a Toy Story hotel!
