Magic Kingdom's Jungle Cruise to close for a near month long refurbishment in the Spring

It just had a big refurb not too long ago with all the AAs taken back to the shop and the water drained. I'd assume this will just be some minor touch ups.

But I am far from an expert.

I bet it has something to do with the hub project. They may be draining both to take out the dams and do maintance at the same time
Hmm...never thought about that!

Add me to the list of people wishing for a temple upgrade. Or perhaps are they adding an interactive queue? Though it is amazingly themed, if there's a long wait time this is one of the most boring queues in WDW because you wind around the same two rooms so much

Could be however they installed the dams in near the Swiss Tree with water in and around JC. Seems it would be easier to pull a dam out than to install a dam with upstream water in it. It would be prudent to do the Hub and JC at the same time IF the JC needed to go dry soon.

The refurb should have started today. Any new ideas on what's going on? Could this be related to the now-confirmed Jungle Cruise themed restaurant?

I can't really see a connection with the restaurant, I also haven't seen any permits for Jungle Cruise yet.

BTW, where was the Jungle Cruise restaurant confirmed? I know it's happening, but I haven't seen anything official from Disney.
