So if they do speak during that part, I guess it means they've been there long enough to be trusted to go off script?

No, it means they're tempting fate. ;)

No one is ever supposed to speak in the temple, and no one is supposed to go off script.

I appreciate skippers not speaking in the temple. I always thought it makes the best part of the attraction more effective. I also wish I could find a loop of that music.

Agreed re: the music. If anyone has that audio I'd love to get a copy.

While we're wishing for things...I need to get the new attraction poster from Disneyland.

that was probably me.. hahaha...
What years did you skipper the Jungle Cruise? If you pioneered that joke solo, I applaud you a great deal. Please know I tout it to others as one of the most memorable jokes I have ever heard on the ride. (Alongside one about every single animal being able to run X miles an hour and jump Y feet in the air. Doesn't hit home until about the third animal).

I could have sworn I've had skipper's talk in the temple before... but I also killed a lot of brain cells in college from partying so what do I know?

We had one that sang, loudly, Its A Small World After All' through the whole temple. Knowing now that this was that skipper's idea, I would have told him to knock it off. It was very annoying.
