They've come a long way, but it still looks like they have quite a bit of work to do on the mine train! I wonder what it looks like on the inside?

ummmmm is it me or does the GF DVC building look totally out of scale (place) for the resort? IMO it just looks like a huge white building with a red roof. If somebody is keeping score or even cares.....I hate it.

I'm not keeping score, but I do care:).

I think it's the extra floors. They probably should have gone with a red layer or "stripe" between the 1st and 2nd floors like the main building has. It would have broken up the white and kept it more consistent with the rest of the resort. I think its like that from the front where the entrance is just not from the side angels.

I'm not sure I would say it's necessarily out of scale, since it, and all of the existing buildings, are full scale structures, but it is noticeably larger than the rest.

Good point; didn't really know how else to put in my original post. But I do think the DVC wing is too tall in comparison to the existing buildings, which causes it to really stick out.

Yup, we went first thing this AM hoping to ride. Will go on Fri when we go for MNSSHP.

We had to complain about a silly CM on Pirates cramming 4 adults into the front row of the boat, when there was NO line and he could have spaced us out more. My feet got SOAKED.
Since they aren't using the back row currently they have been crowding the rows considerably.

I recognize several in those pics...

Including the alternative use of a Ken's BBQ sauce bucket! Glad to see their recycling those things everywhere in the park! LOL

Agreed. However, I WILL give them credit for doing a nice job matching architectural features and finishes. Its too big, but it looks nice.

The Gable ends need false windows or similar. The large blank walls with no stepping are so in your face and stick out compared to the rest of the resort as a whole.

Hmmm, sounds like I need to study it more closely. I'll check it out from our balcony in March :)

They're just too bland compared to the ornate detail of the 1988 buildings

Especially on such prime and first-impressions estate as facing Seven Seas. There again, the bendy bus stop encroachment on the lagoon doesn't do it any favours either:
