Magic Kingdom not as much patriotic anymore?

The point I was making is that this country is extremely welcoming to guests, with or without flags or patriotism.. we don't change our currency to extract more out of tourists like several other countries do. Some charge in Euro when the national currency is not euros, some charge in dollars when the national currency is not dollars.

My comment about the people was because there are many different cultures within this country, I'm American but there are places where the people speak, act, and have customs that are different than my own.
Disney is a fishbowl of all of them combined. It's not the best way to know this country, but it is a place where you can see a melting pot of everyone together.
Ok...

I don't know what any of that has to do with my post, but you be you Stampy.

Your comment that Disney is definitely America. And referencing posts in this thread about Disney being "welcoming to guests" and toning down the patriotism. Just giving my own observation of the US vs a few other countries and how "welcoming" they are to Americans.

I'm sorry if you're having a bad day and looking to take it out on someone over the interwebs. Hope it gets better for you! :)

Lol nice that you think I'm having a bad day because I pointed out that my post didn't mention any of the points you just ranted about. I know relevance is sometimes tricky for you, so you get it off your chest.

Nothing I said was even remotely a rant. But carry on..

Right, it was just a lot of opinionated writing on things unrelated to what I said.

So I'm not sure what I should be carrying on with as you quoted me, thus my reply to you. If you have issues with other posts it's best to quote them rather than a random Posts.

You're clearly board and looking for entertainment.. I'll let you think of more creative/productive ways to do that.
Have a wonderful day!

I'm looking for entertainment because you quoted me and I clarified that my post had nothing to do with what you attributed to me?

I'll make this easy: I didnt say anything about the American people or the Euro. You incorrectly quoted me, so I'm clarifying. If it matters, I happen to agree with your posts that Americans are generally welcoming.

This is a fascinating statement. Where did you experience this?

In Turkey. The first time I went was in 2006.. their national currency is Lira, which at the time the dollar was worth 3.5 Lira I think.. upon arrival I realized that restaurants and tours were charging in Euro.. the dollar was 1.5 against the Euro. Definitely didn't work out in my favor. I knew to plan for it next time.

The area I frequent in Costa Rica charges in US dollars instead of Colon at most of the restaurants/bars/night clubs.
To add a bit of an explanation as to why the dollars annoy me- a mixed drink at a little bar in Jaco is $13 lol.

I personally don't care about a park being patriotic. Sure we can share some of the history but we're a bit egoistical about ourselves at times so truthfully we could dial back and I'd be fine.
Sorry, but I'm a PROUD American and, for all of our faults, living in the GREATEST country in the world...a person can NEVER be TOO patriotic...I guess we must be doing something wrong if more people try, legally and illegally, to enter the US than any other country.

As a foreigner, I think Disney World is TOO patriotic, to the point that it's a bit too much. However I think it's great because here in the UK you can't fly the Britsh or English flag or say how much you love the country without being branded racist.. like what? Doesn't even make sense. I'm glad the US doesn't have that issue.
I think you just answered your own question...
