this is cute...but didn't they NOT want to attract large groups of people standing in one area???
Those floats come out randomly and just one at a time and don't stop. It doesn't have the opportunity to attract a crowd. It's what UO has been doing.

Same. We don't do character meals, we don't do parades, and we don't wait in line for characters. This will be a very nice surprise!I was just thinking that I am going to see more characters than I ever saw before. I don't eat at Crystal Palace, so seeing the Winnie the Pooh characters is somewhat a rarity for me.
I obviously can’t speak for how things will go when the park opens on the 11th, but these mini parades rarely attracted much of a crowd as far as I could tell. It was more just people turning around to watch from where they were standing, or walking up to an empty spot along the curb. The Sensational Six and some dancers came through Town Square as we were leaving, and there were maybe 10 other people in the area. The Main Street Philharmonic marched the parade route around noon, and in a video I took, there are literally 3 other guests visible. The random pop-up entertainment really added to the atmosphere - it was a nice touch!this is cute...but didn't they NOT want to attract large groups of people standing in one area???
We're the same. We haven't been to a meet and greet for awhile and don't go to much character dining unless family want to go (Storybook Dining is an exception for us as we actually like the food, but tell the characters to keep moving along unless my son wants a picture).Same. Now that it's just my wife and I, we're more into the food, and the attractions, and just the experience. We leave the character lines for the little ones. We're the same. No one cares about “context” anymore. From what I'm seeing on Twitter, this was an isolated incident due to the ride opening up after a big rain. Everyone seems to agree it wasn't a representation of the rest of the day at all.
Hopefully, the “entertainment” becomes a regular thing.I obviously can’t speak for how things will go when the park opens on the 11th, but these mini parades rarely attracted much of a crowd as far as I could tell. Gotcha! Innovative concept.I obviously can’t speak for how things will go when the park opens on the 11th, but these mini parades rarely attracted much of a crowd as far as I could tell. They sure can enforce it Just gently direct you to the nearest gift shop to buy a Disney Character Face Mask. Done !Just stating what I am seeing. I would actually think the opposite, with more people in the parks in the coming days, I'd expect them to enforce them less because they simply can't.

Hmm... Needs more IP. Oh! Here's an idea!

Same with Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. Remember when Walt Disney World used to have more variety with meetable characters instead of just Princesses, popular characters from the Disney Reinnassance, and mainly Mickey and Friends? It’s funny how people think it’s so novel and unique to see characters out and about in the parks... that’s how it used to be all the time and still is at Disneyland!
Yeah because there is a pandemic. Theme and immersion can take a back seat for now. Safety first.some of these measures ruin the atmosphere. thinking of canceling now. did not originally believe they would.
