I'm thinking they thought it was going to be windy. I'm at Magic Kingdom tonight and It's not windy at all. Perfect night to be in the park. Low wait times and at least for the moment it's only sprinkling.
Could be.

For the record. I'm not complaining about EF canceling, I understand.Tropical Storm Cancellations are not new for WDW. I was expecting HEA to be like FITS from what we heard earlier and it was normal without Tink.

Great showing of HEA tonight! It was so wonderful seeing it again after over a year; last viewing was the night before they closed. My performance had Tinkerbelle, which was AMAZING!!! Enjoy this neat snapshot of a misfire behind the castle.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know exactly why some of the pyro & LX (and even the genie lamp smoke effect) were cut in HEA? Is that a temp thing or is that a forever thing?

I was watching tonight’s show on YouTube and it does look a little more deflated than the previous version of the show.

Weird enough, I have seen that misfire on a few videos from last weekend/week also. They seem to have one launch that the timing is off on now.

Some had guessed it was due to pyro shortages, may be budget cuts... Hard to know.

I am unsure why the lamp smoke effect is gone, I've also noticed this. I wonder if it was just something that was not maintained well during the firework hiatus so they removed the machine?

Have your birdies been tweeting? Or are you just making an educated guess based on the change of park hours?
The latter. I know it WILL get entertainment back this year. This looks (to me) like a date. Just like when they conspicuously changed MK’s hours starting 7/1.

Why start closing after dark? Crowds have not substantially increased over, say, June.

Any more theater shows expected to return like Indy, VoLM, BatB or even Nemo at AK?

They need more crowd eaters.
