News Magic Kingdom and Epcot Fireworks to Resume July 1st

Great watching that video. I'm sure we were told on here that fireworks would never return by somebody, glad they were wrong. Whilst we don't often stay to see them, it's nice knowing there's the option for guests to have a fantastic end to their day with fireworks.

Several people said they would not return until October because they don't need the draw. Obviously, such sort sighted 'wins' are not something Disney considers appealing.

No I mean somebody (can't remember who & doesn't really matter who) said, "Fireworks will never return as people going without fireworks will convince Disney they aren't needed" or words to that affect.

While that is true, that people are showing up regardless of fireworks, the problem they fail to see is that guests are leaving the parks early. Nighttime entertainment is needed to keep guests in the parks and continue spending $$. They only see fireworks as a huge up-front cost to Disney while not seeing the indirect effects of fireworks.

True but I think people also fail to see that the negative effects of discontinuing such experiences aren't immediately felt. The company knows what sets them apart from the "competition."
