Green version not scary at all
It isn't scary. It makes me want to throw up.Green version not scary at all
WDWs version if Space Mountain is absolute garbage. I just got off the thing and its getting ricketier and most star field effects don't even work.I love space mountain. It is great. I just have trouble getting out of it. I don't like Mission Space. No never tried green, too scared to.
Ours used to be the best one...I think if they just refreshed the effects and did some track work...added proper audio, it would be the best of the best... It certainly was the largest and most ambitious version... They really do need to make it as special as it once was without retracking it into a series of ramps like the Ca version... Leaving the original ride layout in place.WDWs version if Space Mountain is absolute garbage. I just got off the thing and its getting ricketier and most star field effects don't even work.
Ours is probably the worst of all Space Mountains. Rebuild this thing WDW!
I think Paris is actually the most ambitious version but if our track was rebuilt and we got all those cool upgrades it would easily be #2.Ours used to be the best one...I think if they just refreshed the effects and did some track work...added proper audio, it would be the best of the best... While I do love the Paris version....and truly I do, it really is Rock N Roller Coaster with an inclined lift... I think the length and track layout aside from the launch are the same... But I do really love that one...I think Paris is actually the most ambitious version but if our track was rebuilt and we got all those cool upgrades it would easily be #2.
The ride's soundtrack is also hard to hear at certain locations.WDWs version if Space Mountain is absolute garbage. I just got off the thing and its getting ricketier and most star field effects don't even work.

The Disneyland version also has better light effects making you really feel like you're in outer space.Ours used to be the best one...I think if they just refreshed the effects and did some track work...added proper audio, it would be the best of the best... Now that I think about it, I hardly remember riding Space Mountain due to the blackness. If the Star Field and sound effects ever gotten a major upgrade if they didn't go cheap on the special effects (Audio) then the attraction would had been more memorable besides the opening tunnel and queue. Our original Space Mountain used to have really great lighting effects and starfields....which have all dommed down and faded out over the years...Theye was a time it was really great...and the sound has not been synced on the re-entry tunner in about 20 years, and there is a ridiculous amount of light spill into the "Pace"area from the launch tunnel that is clearly visible...really would not take much to fix some of these things, but they really need to overhaul the whole thing... Put the Home Of Future Living back in... use the old Horizon's sets! Give it a proper third act ending to the experience! and add some sets and visuals for the People mover...there is so much they could do to pluss that aspect up instead of 3 minutes of inky blackness...
It isn't scary. It makes me want to throw up.
Magic kingdom:So besides the rock repaint and some new rides, what would we like to see be done at WDW to celebrate 50 years? Wish list items.
Unfortunately....with the New Disney, I think the plans will be much less ambitious than we would all like...Pandora will still be new, so nothing will probably go into the Animal Kingdom except maybe a tag on the end of Rivers Of Light for the 50th.So besides the rock repaint and some new rides, what would we like to see be done at WDW to celebrate 50 years? I've never done oranage on Mission Space myself but I have done green and I'd recommend it. If you can take Star Tours, I think you can take the green version.I love space mountain. It is great. I just have trouble getting out of it. I don't like Mission Space. No never tried green, too scared to.
I rode Space Mountain: Mission 2 in Paris last May 6 times and it is incredible! And will be updated next year to make it up to date, so it will continue to widen the gap.I think Paris is actually the most ambitious version but if our track was rebuilt and we got all those cool upgrades it would easily be #2.
I was told awhile ago that yes, MK will be getting a new electrical parade. The leader I talked to said, "I hope it's not Paint the Night," but they said it in such a way that led me to believe that it's probably going to be Paint the Night. (YMMV)The MSEP wasn't supposed to last this long - it was supposed to be "retired" again about three/four years ago, but because of what happened to SpectroMagic, MSEP had to stick around longer than anticipated. Frankly, speaking only for myself, I'll be glad to see MSEP go. Some of the floats are so old most guests have no idea what it is (Pete and Elliot being the biggest example, IMHO).
For the MK? So far as I know there should be new offerings but no new land or similar.
So the type of thing Disneyland got for it's 45th in '00 or 60th in '15.... New Night Parade, New Fireworks, Parkwide decor, a few pluses or upgrades to classic attractions (Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Haunted Mansion, Autopia, Thunder Mountain, etc.), maybe a new Castle rubberhead show, a few lifestyler blogfests with neckbeard men trying their first glass of wine in public, and a whole lot of "exclusive" merchandise?
Well, actually Disneyland didn't do the neckbeard wine party thing. That belongs to the Contemporary and California Grill.
But if there's not some big new E Ticket or New Land planned for MK's 50th in five years, then that tells me the menu of offerings will be like Disneyland's lesser anniversary "celebrations" of the last decade or so. Or is there something else planned for MK?
