Irony i do alot of armored warefare reading....i love seeing a tank in a parade at home. Theres poor placement of recent policy such as Latin America but keep in mind alot of that ties back to our whole anti communism crusade. Your blind patriotism point is so well said. Its amazingly true hence why i support America i love and what it is meant to be furthermore i dont blindly support the goverment and openly support the second amendment above and beyond. This to me is the ultimate last resort for our owj goverment becoming a tyrant. (Pretty close IMO). That is neither here nor there the parade float is a reminder of the greatness Americans used to be proud about before my generarion became cry babys.
Speaking of parades.. part of me wishes they could make a new parade for Epcot. But giving the greatests innovations and techs of all the world in a parade with music. From the Apollo rockets, to the microprocessors. When people were always thinking "not even the sky is the limit".

I find patriotism is dieing....everyone wants to sail there own ship and in the end the lack of enthusiasm about the direction of the country or the character of it is sad to me....im 27 and nothing stirs my heart more than raw American power for lack of better wording. (The jets in the old soaring gave me a rush) but alass i also believe we are the best nation on earth a claim disputed by many. With that said i genuinely believe in the inginuity and vigor of the American spirit more than anything else even as far from perfect as it might be. We put men on the damn moon! We saved the entire continent of europe arguably! We dispelled the chains of tyranny and told one of the most powerful militarys in the world to go pound sand. We invented the modern intirarion of democracy. We as a people have achieved all of this and more....as Americans! Hell Disney amd his genius was as American as it gets and he built greatness that the entire world now enjoys. I could go on forever.

Not to derail so my apologies but these are just my thoughts.
Preach, Brother, preach. We have our problems here, plenty of big problems, but I wouldn't trade her for ALL of the rest of the world.
Mark Twain is quoted as saying "Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and the government when it deserves it." I belive that.

Just curious (because I don't think I really understand), how?
The promenade now has too much clutter for a parade. Nations/Dreams had a few tight areas as it was. With the increasingly number of permanent structures being added yearly it seems - not to mention the annually increasing time period of festivals and that the temporary shacks seem to be left up for now - running a parade would be an operational nightmare if not impossible.

What if the parade only runs from THE LAND to FUTUREWORLD crossing over SSE.

Yeah, it feels like there is enough wide areas that something could run in Epcot if the will is there.

That being said, I think it makes more sense to focus on returning a day time parade to DHS.

Instead of a land parade could they theoretically do something on the water at Epcot? Like the Electric Water Pageant or the Crystal Wish Journey at DisneySea?

This is all getting a bit silly for something that's not happening.

Wasn't the OP proposal to run a parade across Futureworld, through the fountain plaza?
I think so.
My point was about how Epcot's pathways are bigger than the part of mainstreet during a parade (if you dont include the new side street of course).
I only know about the parade that went to the world showcase.

If you ran a parade east west in Futureworld, you are cutting off those entering from reaching any attractions other than SSE. You are also cutting off anyone from exiting unless they are already north of the parade route. At MK the parade runs north south with plenty of pathways on each side to exit or enter.

I never imagined the parades using the entire pathways from side to side in futureworld witouth leaving any space to move from the sides.
my comparison was on MK's main street btw.. which pretty much clogs the whole way unless you use the sidepass or the stores.
