Back in 2014 there were plans to build a storm water retention pond where those trees are along with some parking improvements back there but for some reason they never went through with it, so they could use the land for something else.
Thank you :) I was just curious as to if the land could be used.

the nighttime parade is definitively the most important thing. the current is limping.. how many decades its been running now?

It's pretty bad when those who have nostalgia for the parade (MSEP) from their childhood are saying, "Yeah.. It's past time for it to go." It's how I feel. I've seen other posters say the same thing. When you don't even have the nostalgia factor working for you it's just not working.

I can't remember the post but it's probably gonna be either a nighttime parade or a dayttime parade, not both. And we definietly need the nighttime way more then the daytime. MSEP was created 44 years ago for Disneyland.
It's showings have been the following:
It's originial debut in DL: June 1972 - November 1996
It was shipped to WDW in 1999 as a limited engagement, and it ran until April 1, 2001. Then SpectroMagic came back.
The original intentions were to bring it back to DL, however due to low attednance at DCA, TDA decided to bring it to DCA as a celebration of the parks first summer. It ran in DCA from 2001 - 2010, where it was then shipped back to WDW. It was intended to just be at MK for the summer but has since then ran from 2010 till present day. MK had an exact copy of the parade that ran from 1977 - 1991, I'm assuming those floats are long gone. The original parade and the one that is currently running at Magic Kingdom is 44 years old. The Tinker Bell float is new and was added in 2008, and it also says that the Snow White & Pinnocchio floats were removed from the parade but did return in 2009, which are apparently new floats. *Most of this info is from Wikipedia, which I know isn't always the most reliable but when it comes to Disney related stuff it's normally pretty accurate*

I feel WDW is either going to get Paint The Night or Dreamlights instead of building a brand new parade.

No way is Tokyo giving up dreamlights to WDW.

What I hope they do is something a long the lines of dreamlights, in my opinion it is better than PTN. It like that it still has the old lighting tech, it just feels more magical, even though whatever we get won't be the old it'll be the new, I also LOVE the IASW finale.

@marni1971 did say in a post in another thread that PTN MIGHT come to WDW in 2021 with two new floats.

I don't think he did, did he?

DL and HKDL parades both take a break the same week. They're not scheduled to go anywhere apart from the garage.

Yeah he did in the WDW inevitable paint the night thread, third page something like that.

It will still be here and I'm okay with it. To be honest, it's one of the best parades we've had and it's still in good shape. There isn't a way to financially justify kicking it to the curb.
This is how I feel about FoF, in 5 years maybe the parade may need some painting and little upgrades but I can't see them kicking FoF to the curb
