Yes, dear.
Really, it's so annoying when people don't cash checks.
I send all the great-nieces and nephews small checks for Christmas and every year I spend the next 6 months carrying over that outstanding amount, because their parents take forever to cash them.

Funny story related to this:

DF's parents gave us all checks for Hannakuh this year. So when we're back in NE for Christmas, we get this email from his Mom. "Hi guys! Please deposit your Hannakuh checks. It's been three weeks. Stephanie was the only one to deposit her check. Brownie points for her. LOL ". I read it to my parents and they're like "yup! That's our girl!"
