Oh, the sig...it's a little protest against the city council of Berkely, CA who recently passed a resolution denouncing the Marine recruiting office in their downtown. They also gave a weekly parking permit in front of the office to the local chapter of Code Pink, which is the group that has vandalized the office and got the ball rolling on the resolution. The resolution describes the Marines as "unwanted, unwelcome, intruders.".

Just Google Marines and Berkely...you'll get a bunch of different stories. I try not to show bias in relating a story, but sometimes it slips thru. :lookaroun
And then on Friday the mayor of Toledo Ohio, upon learning that a Marine platoon was conducting inner city training manouvers in abandoned buildings in the city, made them leave. He said no one told him about it and he didn't want the residents to be frightened by the prescence of the Marines. For the record, the people of Toledo do not support this decision...the mayor acted independently.

So I'm thinking about auditioning for a character role. I'm getting impatient now waiting for Disney. All my friends are saying I should do it and that it's not that bad. I've never really auditioned for anything before. It'll be like going to an interview using my limbs, instead of my words. But I figure I really have nothing to lose. If I don't pass now, I'll gain the experience and be better prepared in 6 months. Still... *deep breaths*

This where so many of our "leaders" go wrong...they are so out of touch with what people actually think and feel.
I need to do a "bad mom" check:
Em was on the lap top today. Strict rule is no eating or drinking while using it. Well, I hear an "Uh oh" and I'm like "Please don't tell me that was an I spilled on the lap top uh oh". Well sure enough...
She was very upset and apologetic. I wasn't cruel and I didn't yell but I am afraid I was a bit cold with her...and I banned her from using it the rest of the night. I hate not hugging her when she cries, and she's such a good little girl.
I feel evil.
