Hi Steph!
Hey girl!!!
Hello everyone. Just got off the phone with DS - it's a no-go on the room they offered him, so now he has to wait again.....
Hey Betty. That stinks!!!
Steph, have you ever posted pics of you in costume?
No :lookaroun
I'm 5'8'' - 5'9''.
Pluto height, I believe? Teensy bit too tall for Chipmunk and, I believe, a teensy bit too short for Goofy. And it does matter. There were a whole slew of characters that I was 3/4" too tall for. You think it's not a big deal, but one day they put me in Quasimodo (one of the ones I was a smidgen too tall for) in a pinch....it was SO uncomfortable, I was literally hunched over inside. Keep the jokes to yourself please.
I've been told it's changed lately. It's now a dance audition then followed by an animation exercise, if you pass the dance. I've been told everything from it being an 8-count dance to a 32-count dance. I don't even know what a count is! My friend Kirsten is auditioning this week. I wanna see how she does and get some tips from her. My friend Michelle said she could teach me her dance if I want.
Yeah, when I did it, it was a dance audition (a VERY simple one), followed by basically charades as a character (example: I had to be Minnie Mouse changing a tire ), followed by one more dance audition.

I think it has got worse - plus he's in an entirely different atmosphere than he was in high school. I'm just so thrilled that he's choosing to not join in (so far anyway)

I thank God every day for that.
You can be the best parents in the world and still there are no guarantees.

Yeah, I've been told I'm Pluto height. How simple of a dance audition? :lookaroun You're talking to a guy who's not a dancer so simply the word "dance" makes me uneasy.

That's the thing I'm most scared about for college.
I've been in a bubble my whole life, and soon it's going to pop.

I've always wanted to try out for a character.
My dance friends wanted to try out with me, to see how far we'd get.

How much more is left to paint?

Bye Amy!

It is.
I don't see why they feel the need to be so irresponsible.
There have been so many consequences...why can't they learn?
There is a rather wealthy town in our state, that is supposively "dry" in the past year alone one 17 year old basically killed another teen by driving a boat while drunk, another teen killed 2 people in a car accident that was totally his fault because he too was drunk, and then New Years Eve a pair of parents hosted a party for their teens to have and actually bought the booze for it. The kids were stupid enough to post pictures of it on line, and the parents were arrested. What on earth goes through their heads?????

We just had a discussion about this in Theology.
A lot of people at my school do that, and then get in serious trouble because our school finds out about the pictures.

Some people complain about how it invades our privacy.
Others (like me) think the people are stupid for putting those kind of pictures on the internet. They deserve the punishment.

Really easy. As long as you can follow direction and have some sort of coordination you should be fine. Which, you'll want coordination anyway if you're a character. Just in case, for example, you're doing a character breakfast and there's a tray sitting there w/ a bunch of orange juices on it....you wouldn't want to, say, bump into it and knock it over. :lookaroun :o

Employers do it too, as do college applcation offices. The thing is what you post on line is not an anonymous thing, so why would you want the world to see you doing something stupid?

Like what kind of movements? Would you do both a hand gesture and move your leg at the same time? Is it anything like what the parade dancers do?

I would giggle at that one, but I'd totally do the same thing.:o:lookaroun

The only thing holding me back are the hours.
DL controls your life, and I want to enjoy my last summer before I go off to college.
Ugh.
