New Adventureland? Coming someday . . . maybe

I guess I'm in a minority...Adventureland is my favorite land. I love the theming and the 3 big attractions (JC, PotC, Tiki).

At the same time, I was disgusted when I went back one year and MC was there. Quoting EPCOT Explorer, it's definitely "...big, flashy, ugly, and disrupts the delicate theme of Adventureland."

I don't disagree that kids like it, but it doesn't belong in AL. It's cartoon-based and should be in the land based around cartoons: FL.

Thanks!

ALand is a great land, I think I've spent the most time there, and TL.

And to add to what needs to be done there...FACADE work! The entrance to the land is in shambles.

Did you notice it, too, a year ago? I did a month ago.

FL is set in Europe :( and Aladdin belongs in ALand along with the new Princess and the Frog. IMO anyways.

Because it has so much to do with us gaining our independence as a nation, right? :dazzle:

Put it in DHS, that's where all the random crap fits in. :lookaroun :zipit:

*hides from Servo*

Yeah, I know, it does clash, a bit. It is temporary, though.

OK, it clashes a lot. I can't stand it.:lol::lookaroun

There were no riverboats in colonial times. If the riverboat fits, PatF fits. The waterway is called Rivers of America. That would include the mississippi where the film takes place.

I still think TSI would make a perfect location for a more permanent home for a PatF movie attraction. But I also thought of another place in the MK that is absolutely PERFECT!!! :zipit:

I always associated the river boat with Frontierland, I know the landing is technically in Liberty Square....but that's just me.

I wouldn't mind a TSI retheme if the movie proves successful (I think it will).

Think about this. What if they used a walkway from the old keelboats queue that runs at river level along the base of the HM queue and connects to a winding trail in the pine forest behind the HM. They could dig out a bayou like waterway that connects to the main river that is somewhat secluded but is still visible to and from the riverboat. Then they could build some of the great sets from the movie and even put in a regular attraction, m&g's, etc. Fits perfectly and would create a great new immersive land.

*removes armchair imagineering hat*

Right....That area is transitional, anyway.

...but The Princess in the Frog is set in America....

To me, Adventureland does is not in a set area. Fantasyland, especially after this expansion annoncement, appears to have no plans to resort outside of the European theme. Liberty Square should be the PatF home though. I totally forgot about it. Maybe take down TSI and build that boat-in-the-tree thing from the movie.
