You realize you just compared Paris in the day time to Florida at night, right? Don't get me wrong, the Paris roof looks better but that's a horrible comparison.

actually there is a difference during the night time as well: thanks to the glass roof you can see the lights suspended from the roof from around the attraction much better than in Florida. It is actually even prettier at night than during the day.

Although, I think the DLP picture that was posted had its colours enhanced. The attraction isn't that bright...

Bump -- any update on this? Is this an officially scheduled refurb, or still just rumored? I was kind of bummed when I saw this thread several weeks ago as I would love to ride the tea cups during our January trip. Thanks for any info!!

I would assume the jarring brakes that trigger each time the ride ends

The brakes would also be my guess. Sounds like a elephant's trunk making noise when the brakes engage.
