I guess she and Sayid would be the best to train everyone. She has at least been through some kind of training with the police academy and Sayid was in the Iraqi Army or something.

Very interesting episode last night...

Jack as a character seems to be changing...is he still the 'good' hero?

I wonder how many different groups of people and/or entities are on the island. Are the bunker(s) connected to the 'others'....is the security system connected to the 'others'...is it really their island or are they as Lost as the survivors? Is there some other group in charge?

The confrontation seemed weird...almost as if the 'others' didn't want to harm Jack and Co. just scare them...what are the 'others' hiding in the jungle?

Where is Desmond? Where is the French Chick?

SOOOOOOOOOooo many questions!!!!!! I love this show! :sohappy:

A couple weeks back, there was an interview with the guy who plays Jack.
First of all, this episode was ment to show that Jack has a bad side as seen both on the island and in the flashback.
Second, this is just Jack's opinion and his own guess, but he thinks many of the survivors will start losing trust in each other and it will become a "lord of the flies" scenerio.

Whatever happens next week should reveal more on what is to come.

I guess thinking about it, that there wont be any confrontation of the others for a while in terms of a "war". Jack will not be able to excercise power in a way to be able to get everybody to fight the others.

THat's what I keep wondering...what's Rene up to? And just where the hell did Desmond go when he cut and ran???

How many "stations" did the instructional video say there were? Are the OTHERS in some of them?? Did they crash?

Is LIbby an other?

Who did Jack's wife have the affair with? Sawyer? Kate's doctor friend (the one she got killed when she was trying to escape the authorities)? Who is the real Sawyer? Have we seen him? (Maybe he is Jack's father??? If so, how ironic that he ran into him in that bar in Australia and didn't know it).

The faces weren't that obvious and they weren't of the survivors. They were an older woman ,ecko in the water shortly after the plane crash, ecko holding his brother after he was shot, the old man ecko shot as a kid, 1 of eckos partner's and Jesus nailed to the cross.

The older woman in the headscarf was the woman selling the Mary statues ouside the mission church in Nigeria.. THere was also a pic of the church/cross on top of church... and Jesus on the cross.

I think the smoke represents ones past transgressions...their evil past doings... they have to atone for their sins... face their sins... and truly repent... they have do not fear the evil that they did... The "monster" killed the pilot that was found in thecockpit of the Oceanic flight... but it was faced down by both Locke and Eko who are men of faith... They beat it.

Yes--Eko truly did become priest...first only on paper...but after his brother sacrificed himself for Eko.. he became a priest in earnest...

I think the Jesus on the Cross represents that Jesus died to forgive Eko's sins... etc.etc.

Is baby Aaron supposed to be the second coming? They showed scenes of the baby being set adrift in a basket on the water in the next episode...is that supposed to be Moses-esque? Or was it just a drug induced dream of Charlies???

Who knows... the more I hash things around...the fewer answers I have and the more questions I find...

You made some very good points. If the smoke represents ones past transgressions I wonder what images it must have seen when it scanned Locke. I don't think baby Aaron is supposed to be the second coming. When Claire saw the Physic he said that Claire must raise the baby nad that he/she needed her to raise it. The impression i got from that was Aaron was going to be evil and he needed the goodness in Claire to keep him on the straight rd.

You know I was thinking the same thing. I like the actor that plays Charlie and I do like Charlie, but I don't know about this, he may be the next one to leave.

Anyone wanna take any bets as to how much longer Charlie stays on the show?

I think he'll stick around...he seems like an important character...last night's episode seemed to be setting something up regarding Locke....the music in those Charlie/Locke/Claire scenes is interesting....Locke gets weirder with each passing episode....personally I don't like the character...he'll probably end up being a villain at some point.

And what's up with Libby....she's a weird one too!

A lot of character stuff last night...we got a look at Charlie's tragic story....we saw Eko doing his priest thing....we saw Jack and Ana-Lucia getting closer and Kate seeming a bit jealous....and we got a closer look at Libby...and then we had Locke...keeping the statues...is he, or will he be a user?

Libby has GOT to be an other. :)
Except if Hurley stepped on her foot getting on the plane, how would she be an other?

Unless the Others sent her to Australia as a mole to bring down the flight. ;)

Libby is weird and it would not surprise me if she were one of the others, but like Nicholas said, she was talking about stepping on Hurley's foot, but did Hurley remember her being on the plane? Who knows, she is weird though.

Locke, I do like, but something was strange about him last night and I think what was strange to me was when he was sitting on the beach watching Charlie arguing with Claire about baptizing the baby and he did nothing to help or stop Charlie. He was just starring.

I like Eko, he is on of my favs now.

Or unless that's just a mind trick or something she is using...she says she's a shrink after all...and Hurley didn't remember the incident.

Now if she was an other, and was one the plane, that would be REAL interesting.

I assumed he recognized her from the institute he and his friend Lenny (was that his name? the connect 4 guy) were in for awhile. Maybe she was a shrink there?

Nicholas, I forgot he was in that institution for awhile. I bet you are right, we will see. Good call.

Last nights episode was definatlly a re-deeming one for me...defiantly put me on a great "theory path"...so let me share my ideas with you all :)

First off..the manuscript that Hurley was reading was called "the bad twin". I may be stretching a bit far here, BUT..astrology says that a "gemini" is a twin sign..and who on the island do we know is a gemini? Kate :)

The Radio broadcast..and this is where a LONG EXTENSIVE music history knoledge comes in handy (who knew all that info would be of use one day!)..

The song playing on the radio was called "Moonlight Serenade". Anybody know who wrote it?

Legendary Jazz musician Glenn Miller.

Now..anybody else know whats interesting about THAT? Read for yourself :: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glen_Miller and Pay close attention to his "death".

Coincidence? Probobly not :)

ALSO..the radio station was "WXR?"..and last i checked..only United States branded stations start with a "W"...

So there you have it..my mind working overtime again :D

thoughts?

Last nights episode had me confused. It seems to me the writers have a hard time with Sawyer's character....I mean clearly he has been a jerk from day one...but then they redeem him, only to bring him down again....it's just weird. Maybe he's just a complicated character....though I wonder how realistic his behavior is in the setting the survivors find themselves in...

That being said, I think it's very interesting to see how everything turned out...and in turn how everything might turn out with Sawyer in charge of the guns. I have always felt (and those that love the character will probably hate me for saying this..lol) that Sawyer is a potential antagonist, the opposite of Jack (which we are constantly reminded is our 'hero')....the villain in some season, down the line....

The good v. evil theme is presented many times in various episodes, as is the idea of us v. them (the others). And that makes me think back to the the white and black stones (where are they anyway). I thought it was very interesting to hear two statements made...one came from Sawyer...where he tell Charlie he isn't a good person...and the other coming from Locke where he mentions he is superstitious...

One thing that did strike me as odd, was the comment Hurley made at the end about the radio signal "coming from another time". Were the writers putting that in there to mess with our minds (since they know the different theories out there about the island, etc)...or is there something to it? The music the survivors come across always have this "old" feel to it...such as the music they found in the hatch.

Lastly, the island is making people crazy. What the heck is Sayid doing? We saw him yesterday, working...what is he up to? And Charlie's role in the whole "guns" bit, could come back to haunt him, and in turn kill him.

Next weeks episode seems even better!

oh..and yes..that WAS kates mom serving sawyer in his flashback :)

I was wondering about that...was gonna go and check....

Gotta love when they do things like that...is it possible they all have a stalker...and that this stalker bumped into the various people while he was stalking just one person at a time...so he stalked them too...
