mr echo is by far the best character thus far. Every scene with him is so interesting, I can't wait for his backstory!

Same here! I get the impression that Eko may have seen real horror before and I love how Eko and Locke seem to complement each other. (The ying and yang)

Was I the only one suprised by the "kiss"?

You know...I thought Eko's line in the last episode was one of the best so far on Lost...."Don't mistake coincidence for fate."

I thought that was a very interesting line. But like Locke there's something about Eko that bothers me...

*shrugs*

I love the characters in this show!

Having an excessive LOST addiction I have of course come up with a few of my own ideas as to whats going on and whats going to happen::

..Eko..He was on the island prior to the crash...he was one of the drug runners...

...I think there is going to be a suicide on the island. Sayid has a gun with 1 bullet left in it...too symbolic.

...Locke is going to get very evil. The black/white imagry totally forshadows it..and he has a vibe to him that screams a turn for the worst

..the others...I think not only are they a big part of the Dharma initative..but they are in fact holding pychic abilities much like Walt (thus why they took him). The "whispering" you hear is probobly backwards communicating much like walt has been doing when he appears.

...Danielle is also part of Dharma.

...This all takes place in the future..not TOO far..but far enough.

...Kates ''dad" has a tie in with Jin/Sun. Military man stationed in Korea? Too obvious.

...Vincent is the pychic link for walt.

..the "incident" thats been referred to is NOT the sickness. I think its more along the lines of the discovery of the facility by the outside world, thus spoiling the experiments being conducted. They want to avoid another "incident"...and thats why we have a security system killing things on the island.

...The significance of claire going to a PYCHIC is going to hold some importance

...Hurley is going to get involved (not sure how) with Libby..since she is in fact a shrink.

..Libby is in fact also an "other"..she says shes a clinical psychologist...too professional

Theres more..but thats enough of my opinions for now ;)

Eko being on the island prior to the crash is very likely......probably with the drug runners, but maybe not by choice.

If so...then how can they explain why he was wearing a suit and on the beach helping people? And wouldn't they have gone through the whole 'where were you sitting on the plane, Mr. Eko bit' while they were trying to stay clear of the "others". I'm not saying it isn't possible...fact is...as a character he is a strange one. But they'll have to explain somethings and not just throw out there that he was on the island before the plane crash. Perhaps he is related to the people ON the drug plane.

Should be interesting to see things unfold.

Personally, I think they're part of a twisted experiment...although I hope it's something much more.

Then, what would "It'll come back around" translate to?

Another issue with this idea is their reason for taking the other two children, and then trying to take Clair's baby in Season One. I seems like they're taking "good" people, as stated by Goodwin. However, it may be that they're trying to take children because they can train them to use psychic powers over their lives, although Walt already has started to use it.

No idea if this is true, but just a thought.

Nobody on the island will have phsychic powers. Most likely, the children are raised by the others to become more others. As in help control the population. When they saw the kids walking.... where they trying to bend spoons? No.

And then with the Walt visions. Remember there were other visions including the Boone vision. And in that very episode Locke explains what is going on. It is the island that is telling the people these messages. The island is helping them continue on to do something that the island wants the people to do. I personally think after rewatching one of the first episodes that is like Backgammon.

That is the planewreck survivors are the one team and the others are the others. But all Walt has been has been the island speaking to the survivors.

After watching more of the 1st season again... I have to say.... I now absolutly doubt that there will be any psychics on the island.

Locke makes a statement in the Episode "White Rabbit" on why.
He basically says that everybody is normal humans. Everything from outside of the island is normal. But it is the island itself that is different and changes things. That walt hallucination is just like Jack seeing his father or Kate seeing the horse. It is really an object a metaphore to help them get "found". These objects are all real but they are not what they look like. They are metaphores and nothing more. Walt isn't there. Jack's father isn't there. Now the horse was a little different as it was there in a sense and also in not another. The horse had represented Kate's father in a way and by the time she could touch it, the horse was nothing more than a horse as she got over what she did to her father.

And that is what I also noticed. The survivors were all lost before the crash. All suffering from many problems and really nothing to look towards. The crash though has brought them to the island where slowly they will get over what has happened in their past and become found.

Locke has been found. Charlie has been found (as he may still be addicted, bu t he has found a nice new parenting role). Kate is now found. And so forth.

Another thing to note, is that the show will most likely never explain in a sense why these "concrete hallucinations" occur. It could be that you will need to heavily analyze what has happened to understand these events.

And finally, another theory about the others. The one did say that the kids are better with them. In a sense, that it true as those kids don't need to fend for their lives and such. But in another sense it is false as they are taken away and not allowed to grow up with who they need to grow up with.

In one of the later episodes of the first season, Walt exhibits psychic abilities...also, how does "the island" know these intimate things about these people?

*shrug*

The lost and found theory does make sense though...but I think there is something more in play here...the good v. evil thing has come into play before...and those that were not taken by "the others" (on the other side of the island) were not "good" (I think that was the word used)...and I assume the black and white stones have something to do with that idea of 'good' and 'evil'..."Adam" and "Eve" could be the key to all this....

I just love the writing behind 'Lost'...I hope they keep doing a great job....
