Looking for the least noisy on-site hotel

I booked at Pop Century but now I have been put off by numerous reviews saying that Pop has "paper thin walls."

I am an adult who is severely disturbed by noise. I know enough to request a room away from elevators, walkways, pools, main buildings and on the top floor. But can anyone who's stayed at Pop verify the noise levels room to room? Is it really that bad? (We'll be there mid-May.)

Although I'm on a tight-ish budget, I am thinking of switching to a moderate -Coronado Springs - because from what I've read, it's geared more to adults and convention-goers. Do you think this would be a quieter option for me?

(Please note that I totally understand what a trip to WDW entails noise and chaos-wise. But I suffer from PTSD and I am trying to minimize my triggers while still getting my Disney-fix.)

Thanks in advance for your help

You would probably be fine at Pop in the buildings farther from the main pool and dining area, as another poster suggested. I just stayed there for the first time and we were right by the elevator in the 50s building and even through my earplugs, I was woken up nightly by kids running and screaming outside the room.

With that said, I've never had any noise issues at Coronado Springs and I've stayed there several times

my husband and I stayed at Pop a couple of years ago and loved it, we were in one of the 80's buildings and it was really quiet. Just avoid pools.

We also stayed at POR in the Oak Manor building and it was extremely quiet.

Pop half century is our resort. Lol, we stay there, or try to, whenever we go down to WDW. Yea, on most if not all of our experiences, we have heard noises from other rooms. Like someone else said you can hear toilet flushes sometimes and showers, but we also heard people in the next room and they werent loud at all. But we still could hear em. And of course the people walking by your window, you can hear them too. So in all I think a moderate resort would be better if you dont want a lot of noise. Also, the worst section we stayed at at Pop was in the 60s section by the pool. Thats the worse place for noise. I wasnt feeling good that trip, and I remember getting annoyed with all the noise.
