Not sure if it's been reported yet, walls are down and boats are test running. From what I can see nothing different with boats. If this has already been covered would a moderator delete.
Hm, more chickens!CM just told me could open tomorrow, could be next week. More animatronics, some painting. Same audio. No new boats. Testing system and training CM's going on.

I went into the boat storage area last night and there were no new boats like some people have reported was going to happen. People were detailing the walls, vents, murals and floors getting ready for tomorrow. Everything looks the same except the loop has been installed. :animwink:
Thanks for the confirmation! I knew Epcot execs were going for a more thrilling adventure though the greenhouse!

They were supposed to receive brand new boats however the boat they received did not fit into the flume. *Engineering Fail* so that project has been pushed back until later. Everything else just received minor sprucing. The problem with the old boats was that it was difficult to get the w/c onto the boats as you had to take them backwards down a ramp and basically lift it to turn, then CMs would trip over the side of the boat and fall into the flume. (I've seen it happen) Hopefully the next refurb will be more successful.Could the boats have been modified?
I will report what I was told by a Greenhouse CM during a Behind the Seeds Tour.
She said that when loading the boats with wheelchairs, they were a bit "tippy". Not that they were going to roll over, but that they did rock a bit.
Maybe they did something to the original boats to rectify that problem. Somthing as simple as epoxying some foam sponsons to the bottom/sides of the boats to increase stability.
