Appetizer - Watermelon goat cheese gateau. Discs of sweet watermelon layered with goat cheese.
Ok. Ewwwww. Somebody's trying wayyyy too hard.

Entree - Citrus chicken provencal. Topped with crispy lemon herbed gremolata. Wilted escarole and shallots. Abstract artichoke and ricotta ravioli pillow.
What the heck is "gremolata"??? And what exactly is an "abstract" artichoke? I know what an artichoke is, but come on. . .

I did my hair and put on my face. I may need to run and come back.

DC! Awesome! We keep saying we want to take the kids back up there. Chandler only vaguely remembers it. Brian was a toddler in diapers still. LOL! I can honestly say the very best fireworks I've ever seen in my life was laying on the national mall on the 4th of July watching them burst overhead and feeling the ground shake and hearing the music. Was amazing even if it was 110 degrees outside...literally.

Art! Go crash the party!!!! Make them cough up the info nooooow!!!!

Oh...and the Metro...yeah...my 1 and only experience with public transportation outside Disney World. It was fun. Chandler would stand on the platforms and stare down the lights in the concrete. When they'd start flashing he'd pop out his pacifier and start squeeling, "It's coming! The train! The train!"

***edit****
Now that I think about it, why did we ever bother with Disney World?! We could've saved loads of money by taking him to the Metro platforms every year... LOL!

It is an artichoke that no one likes except for blue lens sunglasses wearing hipsters.

I know!!! We are moving to Washington DC!

It will be a little chilly. Beautiful though, I'm sure!

Oh so cool!!! I travel to DC quite a bit from Philly for work. I do political advertsing, so come the end of of this year into next year, DC will be my home away from home as every 2 year tend to be! :sohappy: You'll love it there!
