We arrived at Carmine’s and were seated promptly.

What did we order? Caesar salad and deep fried rubber bands, of course, and penne a la vodka (with shrimp). It was all absolutely fabulous. If you’re ever in NYC, this place is well worth visiting. Huge portions. Terrific food. Reasonable prices.

Croutons and anchovies on the side. I think only Mike added anchovies. 🤢

Dessert? Yes please! I only had a couple of bites, but it was sooooooo good.

Looking toward our hotel from Ellen’s Stardust yesterday, we noticed that it looked like the windows opened. Well by golly, they do. Sort of.

Much to the horror of the other two, I took a photo straight down though the tiny opening. So yeah, I may be afraid of dogs and horses, but heights don’t faze me.

Final night time views from our room. Sadly, it is time to close the drapes one final time. Check out day tomorrow.

@JenniferS , this is one of the very best TRs you've shared to date. First of all, great plaque pictures--you know how much I love plaques! :hilarious:

Glad to hear you enjoyed Billy Joel's concert -- reminded me of when hubs and I saw him at MSG at the turn of the century concert. That was a most memorable event and worth every cent we spent on that trip.

You had so many excellent photos taken all over the city and it's hard to pick the best ones. Oh, I loved the "sweet nothings" between Mike and you -- so charming!! What a wonderful way to celebrate so many years of happy marriage together. :inlove: :inlove:

OK so I'll just elaborate. Apparently 3 1/2 hours is NOT enough sleep to undo "half-asleep".

Yesterday was a ton of fun. First, I believe only trusting Cananadians would jump in the car with a New Yorker in the middle of an intersection in Times Square. Jennifer only got scared once and that's only because those bike messengers are CRAZY and ride straight out of your blind spot and in front of your car and trust that you won't hit them. Shockingly, I did not. It was great to catch-up and get more information on all the stories we've shared online. A great many sentences throughout the day began with the words, "So what ever happened with...". The show was great - I was skeptical about bringing a computer generated movie to life but in true Disney fashion the technology was spectacularly awesome. I can't imagine how it must have looked to those who have never seen the castle projections before. The food was fantastic. The company was even better. We are hoping to get up to Niagara Falls this summer (as long as I can get the kids' passports in order to see the falls from the "good side"). Oh and one last thing: why the heck is Cananadian chocolate so much better than our chocolate?!

It was amazing, and as much as Mike didn’t want to, he thoroughly enjoyed it.

The technical aspects were amazing, the singing was wonderful, Olaf looked and sounded EXACTLY like Josh Gad, and Hans was yummy.

The only irksome aspect was the three ladies directly in front of us, who each arrived individually late, and proceeded to text, email, and FB through the entire first half.

Somebody set them straight during the intermission. Might have been me. Not saying it was, but it might have been.

For the record, I did not even pull my phone out during intermission. Mike took the time to stand and stretch his legs. Aisle or no aisle, it was a tight squeeze. Like 7 Dwarf Mine Train tight.

It was a wonderful show, and I am very grateful to @NYwdwfan for spending the day with us, for the tickets, and for the prezzies.

Why in the world would someone go to a show on Broadway and text, etc through it? Beyond it being incredibly rude, why in the world would you want to spend that kind of money if you didn't actually want to see the show?? I don't get it. But I'm glad you loved the show, and whomever is was who set those ladies straight should be applauded, whether it was you or not.

This was my brekkie at 9:00, minus the sausage, which was ridiculously spicy.

I be hungry! Because unlike Hubby, I did not eat almost two tubs of popcorn during Solo.

We are here. I remember liking the steakhouse salad back in August, and Mike says you can never go wrong with fish and chips.

Had I looked up, even once, I might have noticed Mike eating this.

Our car picks us up at 8:00 for the airport. I need to find somewhere to nap for an hour or two.

We declined dessert, but I know Mike is jonesing for a lemon bar from Magnolia Bakery. We’ve already passed through Grand Central Terminal, so maybe we’ll head over to Rockefeller Center.

They have comfortable long benches there, right?

But first, we walk. You know, ‘cause I still have one or two muscles left that don’t hate me yet.
