Trip Report LIVE- from Pop Century May 10-15

Jambo!! Just arrived at Pop Century this morning. We , my DD 21- DD Best Friend 21- and myself- no age needed. Lol. Stayed off site last night for free using points.

Arrived at Pop Century via personal vehicle at 6:10. Line for MK at 6:15 with a park listed opening time of 8am- already have about 15 people in it.

we are headed to AK with a park listed opening time of 8am. We are first in line at 6:15. Second and third in line showed up at 6:20. CM walked over and let us know first bus will be here at 6:45. At 6:30 there were 20 people in line.

Giving lots of line and bus info since it’s the hit questions now.

After much confusion as to where the end of the Kali line is- no CM standing with sign- we made it in line at 11:38 posted wait was 35 min and on ride at 12:06

After getting off our cooling ride we started to walk to Everest when we got
A text that our Nomad table is ready!
Yessssssss!!

Added to Nomad que at 11:26 and they sent a text at 12:17. We had 10 min to get there. Off with our Disney walk we go!

Pass by Tiffins on our way and I had to do a double take on the sign posted outside. A CM was next to sign waving people to come in. Sign said they had immediate seating available. Say what!!!! Nowadays that’s just not a thing. Nice to see but I’m still choosing Nomad Lounge.


We chose outside seating. Crazy you would think with this weather being 93° today was goodness knows how high humidity BUT we had a wonderful lounge area with a fan above us. It was perfect.
Adult beverages were ordered as well as the Tiffins bread service. Rest and relaxation time

I ordered the pork ribs- WOW. Beyond yummy
DD order the tuna bowl that was spicy. She loved how spicy it was. DD bestie ordered the beef sliders. We then finished it all off with churros. Everything was so flavorful and delicious.

Lots of calvacades came through while we were there. River was right below so just stood up and waved. Great to see the characters.

After rest and relaxation with lots of water, we headed out.

In line at Kilimanjaro at 7:56 off ride at 8:42. Time to head to Everest

Got to Everest at 9:01- posted sign said 5 min wait. Walked thru que and straight on line with a back row request. Off ride and back in line at 9:15. Posted sign now says 7 min. On ride at 9:25. My son LIVED on those chocolate frosted donuts from Joffrey's on our last trip. That and french fries were the only things he would eat in Disney. He won't eat the pizza or their chicken nuggets, he won't eat mac 'n' cheese or spaghetti, etc or hamburgers. He LOVED those donuts, though!

After surviving the meteor shower I head into the gift shop as I am still searching for more clothes to wear since I forgot all my tops.

I hope you were successful because you should try to keep it PG and make sure you at least wear a top each time you venture out

Well... last night ended up being crazy.
After Nomad Lounge we decided to split up. I need to get running shoes at DSprings that I forgot to get first day there. I headed on the bus from AK to Pop bc I didn’t want to pay for an Uber. Was hoping by the time we got to Pop our room would be ready. First night we stayed off site with some free points.

Anyways- I get almost to Pop on bus and get the text out room is ready. Ask Bell Service to
Help me get all our stuff to the room.

After dropping everything off I went to Disney Springs and got my shoes. I’m training for 3 Lion King virtual 5ks with my DD. It’s crazy. I’m not a runner but hey, it will be good.
Leave DSprings at just before 6pm.

I was wanting to go back to AK and ride Kilimanjaro again. Yikes. This will be close.
On bus headed to Pop. Get there and rush to room to drop off shoes.

Get into AK bus line and sign says it will arrive at 6:24. Oh boy. It arrived at 6:17 but then is stalled to pro bc one of the cheerleading chartered busses is parked in the AK spot. Finally the bus driver just lets me on where he is and off we go. It’s just me on the bus bc who else heads to a park barely over 30 min before it closes!!!

I’m riding along and finally get to the park. Go through security and they say. “hurry- you only have 15min”

Time for some serious Disney Walking! I pass tree of life at 6:49

So then back to busses I go. Lots of confusion at the bus stop. One bus for AoA comes but parks at the Pop stop. He takes the AoA people. Then the next bus comes and stops at AoA stop and is for AoA. I’m in the end of Pop line when I hear the driver asking if anyone else would like to go to AoA. I say yes since it’s a nice walk over to Pop

When I get to front of bus there are still 3 rows of people in the AoA line and I ask the bus driver why they aren’t getting in the bus. He said they are for Pop. He shakes his head. The people in the AoA line said whatever bus comes you can pick either one. Ummmmm NO. Signs are clearly posted

anyways- another bus comes and it’s for Pop. The driver starts talking to the Pop bus line to give them seats when the AoA line walks over in front of them and tells the driver they have been waiting. The driver then points to the Pop line and says that’s the line. Our bus then starts to leave.

I have a peaceful walk back to Pop and our room. Showered and relax. Girls make it back and DD best friend then takes a shower but comes out quickly ..............
