We got there early because I didn't want miss her, so we had time to go into MSG and pick up a hat and t-shirt for my favourite brother. And to take pics, of course.

Flip-flops in NYC, really, how uncool. You might as well have a neon sign over your head saying. "Hey, I'm a tourist from Cananada, eh!" ;)
The things you could step in alone is mind boggling.:depressed:

To add this...

You will want to get back into Cananada in spite of the inability of you guys to spell words properly, eh. I have a feeling that there is going to be something big happening down here very soon. Not the place that you or anyone else would want to come to for a little while. At least they solved the immigration problem, who the devil would want to move here now. That said, NYC is really spectacular isn't it. Nice place to visit, but, I honestly wouldn't want to live there.
I love it! But yes, I don't think I could live here. Lots of construction, crazy traffic, too many people.
Also, I feel so much older than everybody. Not a birthday reference, just a commentary on how young and vibrant everyone seems.

You know I don't actually OWN any real shoes right?
I have heel spurs that give me zero issues as long as I don't have anything pushed up against my heels. I can't even wear strappy sandals. The strap hobbles me in minutes.

Despite regular pedicures and copious amounts of foot cream, my soles are like leather. They're not very feminine, so we don't tank about them. ;)

Continuing on, we get caught in the gridlock that is the departure of the POTUS. Protesters, supporters, ambivalents, and Jen. I love democracy. The alternative is unthinkable.

The protesters have their rights. The supporters likewise.

I am not offering commentary, nor am I posting any photos of the hateful signs held up by each side. I am just glad that I was standing beside a beautiful young lady singing a song about love. It was a Catholic Church hymn, but it escapes me right now.

Still not at Central Park, 'cause yay, there's the Plaza, and I'll bet they have a potty. (Actually I know they do, I've used it before. :hilarious:)

The mat doesn't exactly say "Welcome", but it doesn't say "Guests only" either.
IMG_5489.JPG

The flowers were overpowering, it was was just like walking into a funeral home. No casket in sight ....
IMG_5490.JPG IMG_5491.JPG

Getting a distinctly Titanic vibe.

Love the photos of St. Patrick's. One time, I went to Mass there. It was so huge inside, that there were actually TV screens throughout, showing the priest up on the altar!!!

Glad the Potus parade didn't interfere too much with your tourist travel plans. Traffic will move much better now--well, at least for Manhattan street traffic, that is! ;)

P.S.: The only time I remember sailing down 5th Avenue, was in a taxicab on a Sunday morning, around 8:00 AM. The driver had an Aretha Franklin song (Respect) on the radio, and we were singing at the top of our lungs, with the car windows open. :p Stopped at a red light, and NYPD pulled up next to us, and they joined in our Sunday morning songfest, too!

Aaaaaand we're finally on the bus. Unlike yesterday, it is a spectacular day. It's hot and sunny, but the breeze up on the top deck is lovely.

Unless otherwise indicated, any un-named building is Just a Building (JAB) that caught my fancy for some or other reason.

In my mind, I had confused this hotel with the Warwick when I took the pic, but it's not, so carry on.

Now that @NYwdwfan has pointed out how much she likes the rooftop gardens, I decided I do too.
Bonus, water tank on the building behind.

This is Manhattan's second busiest firehouse, and the one that sustained the biggest loss of like in 9/11.
The entire shift of 15 men were killed that awful day.

More rooftop trees.
