Probably not gonna be put back into production if live-action Moana underperforms given the competition it’s facing that month (Mega Minions, The Odyssey, Paw Patrol 3, Spider-Man: Brand New Day).

I suspect Disney never truly cancelled plans to do a live action Tangled remake. I do think, however, they probably ditched much of the creative team originally slated for the project after the Snow White debacle. I don't know what was originally being planned for the Tangled remake, but I suspect it was likely very different from the original 2010 movie and Disney wanted to do something safer.

Everyone else just HAD to see the Lilo and Stitch remake in theaters. They just HAD to.
Can't wait for the live action Zootopia remake...

I still think, from a strict business standpoint, 15 years is not enough time to maximize the nostalgia value of remaking a beloved movie. It seems that the remakes of movies that are around 25 years old tend to be the ones that gross over a billion.
I think if Tangled HAD to be remade in a way that maximized profit, 2035 would be the more ideal time.

Here is her rendition of "Trust in Me" from the Jungle Book remake:
Personally I think she as an appealing voice, but I'm not sure it's right for "Mother Gothel."

Saw this article this morning and it has me wondering if anyone can satisfy the fans when it comes to animated characters… I think both the Wednesday actresses are amazing in their roles but can’t picture either one as Rapunzel, I’m not very familiar with the others but none jump out to me as Rapunzel… just seems like this live action remakes are creating impossible casting calls.
