This is who I went with for my casting choices.

I'd rather have Anna Sophia Robb, but unfortunately she may have aged out of it.
Age is only a number now in Hollywood, so as long as she can maintain her youthful look (so it doesn't require de-aging) then she can still do it.

However I think both Florence and Sabrina are a better fits myself, and Sabrina even got the nod from the voice of Rapunzel herself, Mandy Moore.

All 3 sound great! And would definitely look the part.

But they'll probably go with another P.O.C. like Amandla Stenberg.

Still not likely in my opinion, but we'll see what happens when they announce casting.

Unfortunately Google AI is saying Indian American Avantika is rumored to play her. I don't see the resemblance.

So that was not even a real thing, it was an X user in a now deleted tweet who put it up for "fun" back in April before Disney even announced they were doing a live action version.

You can't really trust Google anyway. They're the site that calls people racist just for stating facts like "Rapunzel is white with blonde hair". Anytime you want a character to look how they did in the animated version it's seen as racist by a small minority and the legacy media.

Best to stay away from this topic, otherwise this thread is likely to be shutdown just like all the others where the same topic was brought up.

That's true.

... I'll just say hopefully Rapunzel looks like she did in Tangled. Or else I won't watch it much like The Little Mermaid (which lost money) and Snow White (which will lose money).

And going on about someone’s skin color before nothing has even been done is definitely not indicative of anything.

Where have you been the past 10 years? Everyone sees it, even the legacy media that says whatever they want. Disney loves to provide themselves with many shields, to prevent themselves from getting any criticism. They are even willing to make things up if they have to.

I'd be saying the same things if it was Sully from Monsters Inc. Sully isn't bright red with green and yellow eyes. If he was that would take me completely out of it. And I wouldn't be able to see him as the character one bit.

Why make good stuff, when you can just cast the wrong people and blame the fans?

A good reason would be... is to make money. Be loyal to your stuff for Christ's sake. No one wants to see the modernization of classics.
