Sorry if I wasn't clearer I was trying to avoid going into the specific reasons so as to stay neutral.Well thanks then.
Now it all makes sense.

No don’t apologize. I was just making fun of myself for my complete inability to figure out what is going on.Sorry if I wasn't clearer I was trying to avoid going into the specific reasons so as to stay neutral.
i believe you are overestimating the amont of people that even heard her comments…..unless you follow a certain section of YouTube…. And many of those have already decided Disney bad…. Not everybody follows pop culture like some of us in this corner of the internet… many people will just see a trailer and if it looks good or others recommend to them… may decide to see itOk? Are you saying no one is offended? Because I can assure you that's not the case. It's not social media dictating anything. The point is the star of a movie insulted over half the country. It's a bit naive to think that it can't have an impact on the film. Don't you think?
I find it more amusing than off-putting, but celebrity drama almost never impacts how I feel about a movie. When I watched Don't Worry Darling back in 2022 I definitely wasn't thinking of all the fighting among the cast.Yes, I think that’s how people are interpreting it. And perhaps that’s what she intended by liking it. For my part, I don’t much care, and it certainly won’t have an impact on how I’ll assess the film.
I couldn’t care less either. Just couldn’t understand what was meant by the post.Yes, I think that’s how people are interpreting it. And perhaps that’s what she intended by liking it. For my part, I don’t much care, and it certainly won’t have an impact on how I’ll assess the film.
That is why I said it people reading something into the picture that isn't there. Its one picture for a single split second moment that may or may not reflect reality.I think it’s that she looks glum with Gadot but is smiling next to Kidman. More significant than that, she appears to have liked the post, as if to endorse the view that she prefers one costar over the other.
I think that was because it was some made for TV thing that was switched to movie and people thought it was going to just be a D+ show. It’s easy to say something was doomed from the start in hindsight. Plus we don’t actually know how it’s going to do. People were very pessimistic about the Moana sequel when that was first announced, yet all signs now point to a blockbuster.
I suspect your wish will be granted.I hope the movie tanks hard for several reasons. Sorry not sorry.
I get that, and again reading something into it that isn't there. It’s her “like” more than the contrast between the pictures that I think is significant.
That might be correct. But you might be underestimating the amount of people who just follow news in general. Sure, not many might have seen the original post. But every news outlet has her apology as a story. So if someone didn't see the original post, there's a good possibility they clicked to see what it was all about. Let's say it's a small percentage of people who have seen the posts. This movie is going to need all the help it can get. It really doesn't need the shenanigans, even if it's a smaller amount.i believe you are overestimating the amont of people that even heard her comments…..unless you follow a certain section of YouTube…. And many of those have already decided Disney bad…. Not everybody follows pop culture like some of us in this corner of the internet… many people will just see a trailer and if it looks good or others recommend to them… may decide to see it
I'm sorry but if zegler liked the post it is not reading into anything. That's not something you can spin. The whole point of liking a post is to endorse it. Please explain what is being read into, because I don't see it.I get that, and again reading something into it that isn't there.
I mean, if she liked it having actually looked at it, then I don’t think one can call that reading into things.
This again goes back to what I'm talking about, people are reading more into this than is actually there.I'm sorry but if zegler liked the post it is not reading into anything. That's not something you can spin. The whole point of liking a post is to endorse it. Please explain what is being read into, because I don't see it.
For years now Disney movies have been struggling
So how much does this dumpster fire have to make to break even?
I'm just not sure how it's reading in to anything. If you posted, I hate Zegler and she should never work in Hollywood again!!! And I like that post. That is a clear endorsement of that post. It's pretty clear in my opinion.I suppose it's possible she liked it without reading it, but that sort of carelessness is risky, and it would still be her responsibility if that's what happened.
I have that is how I know the context of this whole thing.I have a "burner" Twitter account (I created it so I could communicate with Microsoft when they weren't responding to my emails) and found the original post. Yes, it's a Zegler fan account, but pretty much all the replies to it, written by other Zegler fans, are intepreting it the same way: as an indication of her dislike of Gadot. Go and look for yourself if you don't believe me.
I agree that is what the replies are interpreting, but I don't agree that is what the original tweet was about nor why Zelger liked it. Now maybe I'm incorrect but it reads differently to me, as I mentioned previously.OK, so you agree that most of the replies are from Zegler fans who interpret the juxtaposition of photos as proof of her dislike of Gadot? And if not, what is your reading?
I don’t think politics affects those decisions nearly as much as likability, there’s a lot of movies I’ll go see simply because I love the actors in it, there’s also movies I’ll avoid because I dislike actors in it.You may be right. I just don't think most cinema-goers (however they lean ideologically) allow politics to affect their choices to such an extent.
