That's a sad hypothetical.Yes, in this hypothetical, the parent is lying about why they won’t take the kids to the theater to see the movie.

Life is sad. That is why we look to movies to take us to a happier place. That's a sad hypothetical.
I thought the trailer for Snow White looked good. As a previous poster said, it appears to have all the main elements of the original.Life is sad. That is why we look to movies to take us to a happier place.
Expand what exactly in a feudal pre industrial society ?Okay, so if the giant elephant has finished his business, maybe we can go back to discussing the actual film.
One thing I'm curious about is the role of the love interest. The prince was in the original film for an exceedingly short time.
Going from a very short film to a longer, live-action version is going to be interesting in and of itself. Characters are going to have to be expanded.
People then had lives and relationships, didn’t they?Expand what exactly in a feudal pre industrial society ?
She actually apologized for saying those words and explained that she let her emotions run away with her.
Do we really think it matters? I doubt that there are many who won't view this as a pr play only. With the amount of hate that's been thrown around since the election has ended, I doubt any of the people she insulted would think she serious. Let's just be real the left isn't forgiving the right and the right isn't the left with these types of situations in my opinion.Perhaps they can be coaxed into going by reading her subsequent apology. Forgiveness and all that.
We will try to watch it when its "free" on Disney+I thought the trailer for Snow White looked good. As a previous poster said, it appears to have all the main elements of the original.
I know others disagree, but I love live-action versions of Disney movies.
Our family trips now include 10 people (albeit 2 are infants). Just think of how many annual subscriptions that would cover! We will try to watch it when its "free" on Disney+
Yes, we renewed our Disney+ subscription, price increase and all.
In my "Disney rationalization" mind, the annual sub cost less than one table service meal at WDW for my family
I just saw it. A very well written apology written by Disney that Rachel copy/pasted into her post.Wow,...just read Zegler's apology. Good job Rachel!
You don’t know that though.I just saw it. A very well written apology written by Disney that Rachel copy/pasted into her post.
Sincerely, God bless you my friend. Family is everything. Our family trips now include 10 people (albeit 2 are infants). Just think of how many annual subscriptions that would cover!
Good PR move...but I am excited for the next silly/ridiculous comment from her. Only way to keep attention on the film.I just saw it. A very well written apology written by Disney that Rachel copy/pasted into her post.
Ya know, I never thought of it that way. Good point.Good PR move...but I am excited for the next silly/ridiculous comment from her. Only way to keep attention on the film.
Thank you for the reminder/clarification. It had been so long, I didn’t even remember what she said. I took an inference from another post and apparently misconstrued it. (I also can’t see many poster’s comments.)Her post wasn’t denying the Holocaust. Rather, she was comparing the treatment of her own political community to that of the Jews under Nazism.
Not “the public,” just certain people - mostly the same people who were already upset with her last year.We do know that the public vitriol of one of the actresses has expressed will be detrimental to how the public will receive anything she appears in going forward.
That’s interesting, because I would expect comparisons like that (although pre-Holocaust) from groups on the left - saying that certain people are seeding the country with hate against particular minorities the way Nazis did leading up to the eventual Holocaust. How would you interpret her post? Here it is quoted exactly:
“Because history is edited, most people today don't realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”
How is she not comparing the treatment of her own political community to that of the Jews under Nazism? What do you understand her final sentence to be saying?
Why would I consider any of that when I’m considering if I would enjoy a movie or not?Zeglers comments alone are just a piece of the puzzle, add in the Dinkler comments, the negativity about the leaked 7 dwarfs / 7 friends photo, the delays, the questionable dwarfs CGI, the
Certain people claim it is pandering just because of her ethnicity. There is nothing pandering or political at all about the Snow White trailer
Looks like most people disagree. Over 1 millions dislikes and growing on the trailer.I thought the trailer for Snow White looked good. As a previous poster said, it appears to have all the main elements of the original.
I know others disagree, but I love live-action versions of Disney movies.
The magical creatures lived isolated in the woods. I guess more cgi birds , deer and rabbits.People then had lives and relationships, didn’t they?
I’m sure she really means it.
It’s very unlikely from her previous comments that she is a hate filled radical.
Just a simple mistake, that if directed at a different segment of the population would have resulted in her being canceled and her life destroyed.
We do have a good idea of her vocabulary and phrasing by now... enough that it doesn't seem plausible for her to have composed it.You don’t know that though.
I think it matters very much.I really don't think any of this matters very much at all.
