I was just listening to a summary of the 4th quarter conference call today and found it interesting when Iger was talking about the upcoming 2025 movies he didn’t mention Snow White, he mentioned about half the movies that will come out in 2025 but not Snow White.

Tin foil hat time… Is that an indication they are already expecting to lose money on it and don’t want to remind investors about it? A sign it’s being delayed again? or not a sign of anything since he also didn’t mention Tron, Thunderbolts, Elio, or Freakier Friday either?

I just found it odd he’d skip the movie coming out in a few months while highlighting movies that won’t be out for over a year still.

I think Iger just accidentally missed the movie on his prompter script in front of him. There is so much to talk about in these events that it's easy to get distracted and miss a line or two.

I'm certain that Iger has seen many cuts of the movie and I'm certain he is proud of it and expects it to do extremely well. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was THE movie that put Disney on the map. Walt put every penny he owned and could borrow into make it.

I'm sure Iger loves what his team has done with this reimagining of Walt's baby. It's also nice to see that Iger has this movie tailored for today's modern audience and finally has consideration for today's social sensitivities.

I'm glad the prince won't be a "stalker" any more. Snow White will finally be the strong leader that her father knew she could be.

It's sure to be a great move with a great modern message and I'm betting it will be a smash hit. Bob will make Walt proud.

Sounds like it will be a really good movie. But definitely not for you. It’s targeted for a more modern audience.

I doubt that Zegler has "frig you" money. She is young and wants to have a long career ahead of her. She will definitely want Hollywood's social establishment behind her and getting her into future projects. If she is applauded in those high-powered social circles? If she is seen as a loyal Hollywood social justice warrior who is taking fire for the cause? They can do quite a bit for her in the future to keep her working.
Ten years ago, Armie Hammer was the Lone Ranger. Now he's broke and selling timeshare in the Cayman Islands.

Or more likely the MODs are just not actively monitoring this thread as no one has reported any posts yet. They can't be everywhere. I'm sure that can change if you'd like someone to start reporting posts.
I actually did report quite a few posts yesterday, when the thread basically left the movie entirely and became a discussion about Israel, Gaza, etc. But I know the mods are busy and can't be monitoring every single post 24/7.

It's going to lose hundreds of millions of dollars. Mostly because Zegler can't keep her mouth shut. Now you know almost everything you need to know about the film.
Could the so-called "modern audience" come out in droves with massive support for this movie?

There are many that say that today's "modern audience" is a complete mirage. They say it's a mythical group of people that doesn't actually exist in the real world. Companies are chasing after this "modern audience" demographic that is supposed to be super dynamic, influential and loaded with money and power.

Is the "modern audience" real or just typical or common social hype?

Will the "modern audience" carry Snow White to great success?

I don't know but we DO know that some companies are chasing hard after something "they" think is very real.

After of the events of last week?...I'm starting to question the power or popularity of the "modern audience" completely????

claims that Burbank tried to force her into joining a couple of large Zoom gatherings of maybe 45 LBGTQIA++ staff
That would be entirely appropriate if she offended many employees of the company of which she was also an employee.

There was also a groundswell of condemnation against her idiotic and controversial Holocaust comments. The company had to address that.

I certainly hope you would condemn Holocaust denial, and not equate it with random “controversial” comments. It’s very specific and rare.

I dare say half the country agree with Zegler’s recent comments. I know I do. I don’t consider them controversial at all. 80-90% of the posts in my FB feed say the same or similar things.

If I could afford to live in Australia, we’d be on our way in the next few months. We are exploring alternatives.

Maybe if I pretend we just came over from Europe, rather than our Grandparents doing the same, we can get deported(?) That would simplify things.

I'm hearing "modern audience" spoken in an echoing voice.

The modern audience is real, its just a really small audience; not enough tickets purchased at the box office to pay for the movies that are made for them.

I'd take everything that's being tossed out right now as FUD. The next four years won't be like the next four years. Wait and see.

We do know that the public vitriol of one of the actresses has expressed will be detrimental to how the public will receive anything she appears in going forward.
