Which movie is this? I wanna watch.
As everyone else noted, it's the tv series Once Upon a Time that was allowed to try an updated take on the various Disney stories. Snow White was heroic, inspiring and kind. She earned the respect and trust of her partner, Prince Charming. The Evil Queen was wickedly wonderful and heartbreaking. But really, it's all about about Rumplestiltskin, dearie. :D

No but seriously, every Disney fan should watch the show (yes, it's on Disney+). As noted, it got silly by the end, throwing in characters left and right. But the core of Snow, the Evil Queen and Rumple's story are really, really wonderful.

I think this movie has crossed the line and should have a different title, inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
That doesn’t work as a movie title.

Why not? It works as an attraction title in Disneyland now approved by Legal, so it should be good enough for the multiplex.

I'm waiting for the protests of poison manufacturers.

Monsanto hasn't been a park sponsor for decades, so Burbank doesn't care what they think any longer.

First, that’s a subtitle. No ride would ever be called “Inspired by X” as its main name.

Second, attraction titles and film titles don’t always work the same way.

Well in an attempt to guide this back to the original topic, I see that both the company that was in charge of the trailer and the marketing have been terminated. I also so that there are quite a few emergency meetings going on for the trajectory of the film rewrite including the removal of the new pop version of "Heigh Ho" which is said to be worse than "Scuttle-Butt". It's all damage control right now on how they can attempt to salvage what's already been done while the writers' strike is on and the 2024 release date is in very questionable territory.

Did you hear this information from an inside source? I can’t find it online.

It was a much worse version of the comic series Fables, intentionally changed just enough so that they wouldn’t have to credit the creators of that work or pay them royalties.

Oh my god.

I almost can't wait for this to come out. It sounds like a disaster! 😂

I defended Disney, saying that picture of the 7 Dwarves wasn't real. But then they admitted it was actually from the film.

They looked idiotic. I may be wrong, so I'll wait and see, but yikes...

I was with you for the first sentence and a half, then you said "pop version of Heigh-Ho" and I laughed because I figured you were kidding, but then the rest of the post wasn't filled with equally stupid concepts like I thought it would be for the joke.

For my own sanity, I do not believe you. The performance of seven hipsters doing a pop version of Heigh-Ho would result in at least seven deaths from embarassment, they would have needed to recast.

Yeah, the next film from the writer of smash hit Barbie will be buried... right.

I had no idea she was the writer.

I don't know what to think. I'm not sure her style of writing works for a Disney classic like Snow White. It's obvious Disney wanted a modern retelling of it if they chose Greta Gerwig. But not everything can be modernized and still hold the original charm.

I don't have a great feeling about it and yes I'm basing it on the picture. I can't help it. 😂

I had also came here to say that if you want to see a “modern” Snow White, and as many others mentioned probably the best retelling of the Snow White story, Once Upon a Time is a great show! I’m actually currently rewatching it, the first few seasons are pretty good but towards the end it does get kind of riddiculous and the cgi in general is pretty bad
We are watch it too. The chick from Brave just showed up. "What did she say? I don't know. She is from the other studio." This show is getting worst and worst.

Not sure if you are being serious but that line was from Ralph breaks the Internet not Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time gets pretty cheesy during the later seasons when more Disney characters show up. Lots of scenery chewing. Everybody has their superpower. Cruella can control dogs. Peter Pan is evil. The fun of it was the Disney characters popping up through the show. It was the Disney Television Universe. It is still better than these "live action" remakes.
I never got into this show. There were a couple plots I liked or characters. for example, a little baby Sebastian Stan as the Mad Hatter? yes please. I liked the Rumple/Belle storyline. But I ended up preferring Grimm. I think both premiered the same time and tho I would I would love the Disney show, it was Grimm that caught my heart.

Rumple was, indeed, the BEST character. He was fantastic.
