I don’t disagree, but that doesn’t have anything to do with my point, which is that audiences are perfectly capable of juggling different interpretations of well-known stories that share the same title.

It’s worth noting in any case that the remake does have a different title from the animated film: Snow White.
Yes, they needed to erase "and the Seven Dwarfs" from the title since they erased the characters from this new movie.

"El Gran Magnifico"

Mr Flibble is Very Cross.
This is what they do, they replicate stuff they want and change things as they wish.

In my mind, when you change characters, and plot enough, it becomes a new, different movie you can call inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

I think this movie has crossed the line and should have a different title, inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Calling this Snow White seems forced to me and confuses the causal movie goer.

Something tells me that the majority of these “Re-Imagined” versions are going to get retconned within a decade.

Snow White does not work

She a millennial? Okay. Okay. Fine. Check please.

I was speaking of the movie title.
The actress is fine. She looks like Snow White to me.
I think a lot of the characters and what I have heard of the plot is too different from Walt Disney's original Snow White, so they should use a different title and say it was inspired by the original.

I’d go with “Bob Iger’s Reimagined Disney Classics”

Make it the series. He should have his name on this. If it works he can take all the credit. If it doesn’t. Well.

We can call this one:

“Bob Iger’s Reimagined Disney Classics Presents: Snow White and The Magical Creatures”.

I'm just glad this thread reminded me I was overdue to re-watch the best version of this story.

Given that the live-action version of Snow White will have substantially different plot, characters, and storyline from the animated version, I would interesting to see whether Evil Queen still give Snow White an poisoned Apple and then eat it thus died as the animated one? If does, assuming that this live-action version doesn't have Prince Charming, who will save Snow White?

I am waiting for Apple Farmers to protest the negative use of their produce depicted in the story. The material being leaked has put this production in a bad light. Disney needs to show the leakers the door and marketing needs to get off their butts and put out some positive material to negate what is out now. If Disney wants to create a parody of the old classic with a new different plot then say so.

Maybe this time, Snow White doesn't eat the apple? Like, she slaps it out of the Queen's hands and makes a comment about how she isn't stupid or something?

I have an idea.

Disney make a good movie and leaks does not matter and its super easy to market it.

Once Upon a Time gets pretty cheesy during the later seasons when more Disney characters show up. Lots of scenery chewing. Everybody has their superpower. Cruella can control dogs. Peter Pan is evil. The fun of it was the Disney characters popping up through the show. It was the Disney Television Universe. It is still better than these "live action" remakes.

It was a really fun show. Good cinematography and as you note, LOTS of scenery chewing (esp the evil witch) but that’s okay because it was mostly CGI
