I agree this looks great for DAW, and I wish they would do something similar at DHS, which is currently a mess in theming. I love the World Premiere Plaza concept and think it could fit for the "hub"at DHS as well.
DHS is in need of forest, or a larger lagoon or water environment like Moana. The park is a concrete lot. If you keep it you might as well bring a Desert 🏜 environment like Radiator Spring's to help a reason it has for it!

Sadly the knee-jerk build reaction for Hollywood Studios (Disney MGM) put it in a bad spot.. too landlocked, too tight, not enough expansion room from the start... Not sure why they did it that way when there is a ton of property to work with....and back then way less restrictions. It kind of is what it is now... and with the Skyliner where it is, they cannot push the front gates forward for more space...only place to take it from is the parking lot...which I guess they could do and eventually build a garage structure.... If we lose Indiana Jones Stunt Show and the Micky SHorts theater they could push way back into the parking lot there, and expand Echo Lake into a larger lake with a nighttime show and then a whole new land beyond...

I would be strongly against that, at least in the hub. Hollywood Blvd is pretty much perfect, and last time they tinkered with it we ended up with the Sorcerer’s Hat

All I'm really thinking is new facades for Frozen theater, Mermaid theater, and Disney Junior, along with some basic beautification of the hub area (yes no hats please). And maybe some minor adjustments to how it connects to Echo Lake. Just something to move away from the giant studio "boxes" being seen everywhere.

The lead up, Hollywood Blvd, and the Chinese theater, are indeed perfect.

I expect the Mermaid theater and Disney Junior facade changes (or building removals) to be part of the eventual Animation Courtyard redevelopment project.

I think the Hyperion (Frozen) Theater is mostly OK, though I realize the south half is indeed weak, as is the adjacent Mickey Shorts Theater. Honestly, while both of those buildings could certainly be better, I just don't trust current Disney to do something that would be in keeping with the area's aesthetic rather than being visually jarring and messing up sightlines a la old-school Universal additions. It's possible they could manage, though, as I think they largely did with Grand Avenue (but even 2017 seems like "another era" compared to some recent decisions).

Once Monstropolis comes online (removing the Studio 1 Store with its half-finished facades that reveal a box, and adding full facades to the M*V3D building's box sections), the remaining areas that really have the "box" problem will be: Commissary Lane, Animation Courtyard , and the area east of Toy Story Land's main entrance. I suspect the first and third of those may last a while without much change, unfortunately, though I hope to be wrong...

I actually think the Star Tours facade remains the park's biggest offender: now that they've removed the indications that it's supposed to be a movie set, it just looks like they completely cheaped out and just half-finished everything (again, like old-school Universal really did do in their parks). I've literally seen people in the queue look at the back of the AT-AT and say things like "wow, they didn't think we'd look behind us?" It's an embarrassment to the Disney name more than any other facade issue in the park, IMHO.

Classic domestic fan response. Yeah, because DLP getting 3 new rides (Tangled teacups, Frozen clone and Lion King) in the next few years is a lot better than WDW getting a Monsters Inc Land, 2 Cars attractions, a Villains Land and Tropical Americas, in addition to small addition like Test Track's refresh and Zootopia 3D show.

Considering that MK is losing the ROA for the Cars attractions and that WDW is already jammed packed with attractions (including many relatively new ones) I think what’s happening at WDS is much more of a glow up and a bigger deal for them. Nothing is being removed for any of their additions and they re gaining a lot of atmosphere including a huge water feature in what everyone says is Disneys ugliest park.

WDS is definitely getting a glowup and the only downgrade so far has been Cars Road Trip and for some Flight Force. Still, the claim that the Lion King should be cloned fro AK because because international parks get better investments just seems unfair. We can let DLP have a unique attraction, particularly as the last one was Ratatouille in 2014 and that got cloned

I don't want it cloned because I think DLP gets better investments, I'm just selfish and I think this ride would be prefect at AK 😂 I get wanting a unique attraction though.

Hollywood Studios they got rid of buildings for a hot backyard (yeah Toy Story lol)

Epcot they added when non necessary a water flowing centric nature walk through.

Animal Kingdom is transferring from a dry Dino wasteland to a Tropical rainforest sort of tranquil country.. (yay up thee the vegetation factor😂)

Magic Kingdom is dumping it's only water water way and water feature which is odd (Fantasyland doesn't have any) turning the park into the second concrete jungle after Hollywood Studios!

In conclusion you say?

Two parks with available water ways have/are adding more water or vegetation and trees for a Tropical new themed country 🤤

Two parks with no water (Echo Lake is tiny to still sweat) has lost buildings and another will it's only water way available both for Pixar spots that both represent a backyard of concrete!!😮‍💨

The land is in the tropics, which isn't necessarily a rainforest.

Cars will have, according to the concept art, geysers, rivers, and waterfalls.

I saw a waterfall and maybe a stream....but no rivers...where are the geysers?or are those the geysers at Big Thunder off in the distance? Maybe we are looking at different pieces of concept art?
