About LMA, when the Paris version opened, they touted the jet skis that are also used on the water in the show. When I went to Paris and saw the show live, there were no jet skis. Then when the announcement for LMA came to Florida, the jet skis were again touted. In the photos from MKT I see... no jet skis. What gives? Is it coincidence? I don't see why they would bother with the river of water if they weren't there but I was just curious.

Even without the jet skis, the show was really cool in Paris, so hopefully they are able to recreate that here.

I've seen LMAX in Paris about 4 times and they've only ever used the Jet's once.
I think it may be a stunt performer thing, they can only use them with certain performers..
..maybe it's just cheaper not to.

I believe in Paris the Jet Skis were removed after an accident when it was decided it was unsafe to continue without major mods to the canal. You can see them used in some promo footage - when the `good guy` swings over the canal on the left hand side he was to drop onto a ski.

This is actually correct. Issues were discovered with the Moteurs canal after it had already opened. The Jetskis are gone from the Paris show, an very likely for good. When Motors was built in Florida, the canal was slightly redesigned to correct the issue. There will be jetskis in the Florida show - but they are not fully trained yet. The canal itself was only filled like last week for the first time, from what I'm told.

For what it's worth - the show will have soft opening previews pretty much every day now. Likely only one show a day for the time being. Three a day will be the norm after the show officially opens May 5th.

What was the issue with the canal, and are there any more details about the accident?

Actually, as long as MKT doesnt mind of course, there is a picture of the accident right here...

It was terrible - there was stitch and eisner pieces everywhere....don't let anyone tell you different.

I've been told the issue in Paris was due to French health and safety regulations. The root cause was the effect at the end when the car does the jump towards the audience. The French regulators were not happy to have that car do the jump without a bridge fully over the water area. This then meant that the area that the jetskis used was severaly reduced, which ultimately meant they were removed from the show. DLP isnt too good at working around regulatory problems (such as the smoke in RnR for example). I would expect the WDW version to not have these issues.

I am friends with one of the managers opening up the show. He was here in NY with me doing college recruiting but "had" to fly back to Orlando on friday so he would be ready to open the show on Saturday. I will give him a call this week and see if he can give me any info on the Jet Skis and the canal in general. :)

Actually, the jet skis performed in Paris during the soft openings... until a car crash happened in the water at the end of one the shows, forcing them to install this bridge, cutting the water canal in two... the jets were supposed to come back after a few months (when they would have installed a removeable bridge), but I guess when time passed and with no money, they preferred to quietly shut down this part of the show.

Opel Corsa... same thing.. lol. They haven't added the number plates to them yet, which is extremely noticeable when they show the footage they just "recorded"

The red cars are modeled after the Vauxhall VX220/Opel Speedster, but that's where the similarities end.

I went back to the show today, they were able to do the Finale, which rocks. I'll get those pics up tonight, since I didn't have as much time as I did yesterday.

From MKT's pictures it seems it is identical to the Indiana Jones Stuntshow. * When it comes to them, * filming * and putting together a movie piece. Now they have no reason to keep Indy.. Especially if attendance declines.
