Basically. Although my two year old is going to LOOOOVE it, so much so I'm wondering how the lines will be because I'm sure we'd want to do it multiple times.

Based on video footage: The masking done on the mouth area needs to be more seamless. There's currently a "glow" around the mouth that differs in color with the car body. A tweak to the contrast, saturation, hue, what have you and you'll be golden! Nitpicky I know. Allinol (Ha!) It looks like a fun show!

Could be because the show seems to have lights on and its viewed from an elevated position compared to what the sitting visitors would see.
The differences and the visibility of the base where McQueen is, will be masked with the spotlights and the angle of vision when you're sitting down.
Plus the show seems to be in a "lights on" style and not show like with fainter light.

It's very possible that it just looks that way on camera - rear projection effects are notorious for appearing brighter in video than they do in person. The camera reads that light differently than the naked eye does. The Lightning McQueen Animatronics in Radiator Springs Racers often fall victim to this despite looking generally great when actually viewed on the ride.
