Those things were present with FP+, though. They'll never lose a line-skip option. Now they just rake in millions for it when it was once "free".

Ahh sorry I mis-understood. Yes, the costs associated with it used to be absorbed through other things (like ticket/resort prices), but is now unbundled.

Yep. It's easier to see the per person cost when you select in advance as per day previously. All the pending costs are shown immediately on my credit card account. Easier to extrapolate out the potential profit that Disney makes. Obviously, there is no going back on free FastPasses. That's for sure.

I was curious how well the LLMP price matched up with the Daily average wait time via thrill data for the past month... Not well at MK

Not sure what you're trying to get out of this data. There seems to be a somewhat consistent spread to wait times with some outliers as the cost (and potentially the crowd size) increase?

I was curious how well disney was predicting crowd size and pricing LLMP accordingly. The answer is they are not great at it. I would have expected a pretty neat trendline. Even with adding a 2nd level Polynomial trendline, I get an R^2 value of 0.069
How is it peak pricing when there is no wait at the MK (as of 9:50AM Eastern) above 45 minutes (Peter Pan)?

There’s a problem called Corporate Parasitic Drag, which Disney needs to start wrapping their heads around. This happens when one part of a corporation leeches money away from another, without generating more income for the company. Vacationers are maxing out on how much they will spend on a vacation. Charges for items like lightning lane and $22 slices of cake don’t necessarily generate more money for the company, they simply re-allocate how the vacationers budget is spent. This causes increases in certain sectors of the company, without raising profits. It’s obvious why Disney would want to have people pay for lightning lane, which basically cost them nothing, but the overall guest experience will be less exciting, because they are doing without food, merchandise, resort levels, etc to pay for it out of their vacation budget. A simple old cliché that sums it up pretty well would be “Pennywise, pound foolish”

And I am sure the sectors who are losing money to LL and cake are not happy.
$32 vs $35 at MK
$24 vs $26 at Epcot
I guess I just don’t see the general demand for the price whether it’s peak or close to peak pricing.

I think $32 is "average" pricing now for MK. Also lines always pick up after ~11am$32 vs $35 at MK

LLMP rides:
45: Pan (3:10pm)
35: Jungle Cruise (sold out)
30: Space (11:30am), Haunted Mansion (4:20pm)
25: Big Thunder (12:10pm)
Whether or not LLMP is for you is certainly debatable, but in theory you could buy LLMP right now and get good times for multiple rides over a 30 min wait (assuming you unlock tiering quickly with teacups or something)
It goes to $27 on Sunday and works it way up the rest of the week to $32 next Saturday . So this is the upper end of the pricing spectrum.
Value is in the eye of the beholder, but it is hard to justify LL purchases when posted wait times are less than an hour, knowing full well that your actual wait times is likely even less than that.
