Gotcha yes. So i just called to verify this info. Basically if i wanted to stay the extra 2 hours all i would need to do was book the hotel and im allowed to stay in the park. In theory never even go there. Just show proof of reservation. Thats extremely interesting.
I did this for Moonlight magic last month. Booked a cheap room at OKW, checked in online, never showed up and went to MM the day of checkout.

its definitely interesting to gain entry but the more im thinking may just be better off going to the Halloween party a 2nd night and make believe you are there just for the rides only... crowds probably bigger but lines should not be bad unless they plan on overselling and not caring

I am very interested in the capacity for the parties this year. The price is up ~40% from 2019 so that should indicate some reduction of numbers, but how much?

Disney really needs to get their act together. In many departments

I think they may be in for a big surprise in the next year or two at the status quo
I think sooner........I think this summer is going to be very difficult on people w gas at the level its at and going higher.......wait until people get their first heating bill this winter too

According to that article they doing well right now.
Yeah I saw that.......I just dont think its going to last

consumer confidence hit the lowest on record last week while credit card debt hit the highest on record while savings hit '08 low and inflation at record highs.. and layoffs are on the way (in some cases already started)........stagflation coming and thats not good for theme parks

Maybe not for Universal or Disney as they are destination parks. I think a lot of the regional parks will do very well this year as many will opt to stay closer to home

Anything built by disney in "response" to epic universe will be in 2027 the earliest and more likely 2030.

Which is probably fine as Disney doesn't need a big counter right when Epic Universe opens - heck they will probably benefit from it with more people coming to Orlando and do both parks ...

... Now, if Epic Universe is a huge success and starts getting more and more people to shift away (or shift to the majority of their trip being there vs Disney) then they will need something to draw them back

I don’t see Disney benefiting from EU. In fact I see Disney digging their own hole. EU is just another shovel in the mix

I just think it benefits the whole area of which Disney is still the biggest fish

They may loss market share but if total visitors to the market increases they will be fine and potentially benefit .... In the long term their may be erosion but that is always off

Most Disney vacationers spend 1-2 days at Universal. I'm not convinced that changes after Epic Universe opens; I think most people will just omit one of the parks they've already visited before in the past (or spend less time there).

Is this a figure that's published somewhere?

I’m not convinced that is the case for “most” some maybe. I expect more however to try or visit Uni more in the future however.

I know a travel agent who says clients booking Uni vacations is way up while Disney is and has been flat.
